Chapter 11 - A Friend of Ours - p. 1 Mafia II Guide

TALKING TO HENRY:

If you look outside the bedroom window #1 you'll find out that Henry has decided to pay Vito a visit. Go to the closet and put something on #2. Open the door to talk to Henry. He will offer to take a trip in his car.

DRIVING HENRY TO THE MALTESE FALCON:

Vito's car (Shubert Beverly) is parked in front of your villa #1. Enter the car and wait for your friend to join you. During the ride you'll find out that Henry wishes to work with you and Joe for Falcone. Drive your old friend to the Maltese Falcon restaurant located in the middle of Empire Bay #2. Enter the restaurant and watch a new cut-scene. Falcone will offer Henry a job to test his skills and will involve killing Leo Galante.

INFORMING LEO ABOUT THE HIT:

Leo is Vito's friend from jail, so you shouldn't be surprised that he wants to warn him about the hit. You won't have a lot of time to get to Leo's estate and the timer will start as soon as you've left the hotel #1. Run towards the street and stop one of the FASTERS vehicles passing by #2. It's important that you don't use a slower car for this mission, because you wouldn't make it to Joe's place in time.

Approach the vehicle you've stopped from the driver's side #1 and press the F key to throw the driver out of the car. Quickly press the F key again to enter the stolen car #2. This whole operation can't take too much time, because you're racing against the clock and there's a chance that the driver may attempt to throw you out as well.

The quickest route to Leo's estate is seen on your map and on your radar. Start off by driving towards the southern junction and then head west #1. You'll have to turn north in a few moments #2. Try maintaining higher speeds here and don't worry about the cops, because it will be next to impossible to avoid a police chase. Focus only on avoiding hitting civilian cars, even if this means making sudden moves and running over pedestrians on the sidewalk.

The next part of this driving segment will require you to go through two 90-degree turns. Be careful not to slide the car and avoid hitting vehicles parked on the side of the road. You'll soon find yourself near the hospital and it would be a good idea to use a shortcut by going through the park #1. Choose the road leading to the Highbrook district #2.

You will soon have a chance to cut through the grass for the second time #1. It won't take long until you've reached Leo's estate and you must drive the car through the main gate #2. Park near the stairs, quickly exit the vehicle and run towards the main entrance. Knocking on the door will result in displaying a new cut-scene.

THINGS HAPPENING INSIDE LEO'S ESTATE:

Important! This is a unique part of the game, because you will be allowed to decide how you want to act. Your actions inside Leo's villa can lead to one of two endings - you can meet with Henry or you can escape from the estate without him knowing that it was you who helped Leo. Thankfully even if he catches you he will agree to allow Leo to leave the city, so the only real difference are the cut-scenes you'll see.

FIRST ENDING: You'll have to act quickly if you intend to escape the villa with Leo without ever meeting with Henry. Start off by opening the left door, so that you'll end up on the first floor of the main hall #1. Head forward here and open a door located in front of you to enter the bedroom #2.

Turn right and exit the bedroom through another door. You'll end up in a short corridor and you must check the area to your right to find a laundry bin #1. Interacting with this object will trigger a cut-scene after which you'll automatically end up in one Leo's cars #2 and outside his villa.
