Key information about trophies of Mafia Definitive Edition

1. There are total of 44 trophies that can be collected in Mafia Definitive Edition - 1 platinum trophy (only available on the PS4 version), 3 gold trophies, 7 silver trophies and 33 bronze trophies.
2. All trophies can be earned in single player mode. Mafia Definitive Edition has no multiplayer mode.
3. In order to earn platinum trophy in Mafia 1 Remake, you must first complete the game twice, that is, complete it on one of the three default difficulty levels and separately on the highest classic difficulty level. One consolation is the fact that in both cases you can only focus on the missions of the main storyline and no optional activities are required to complete the game.
4. The platinum trophy also forces you to find 100% of collectibles, which include various magazines, comics, collectible cards, and stuffed foxes, among others. Some secrets can be found in the main missions, while others can be found during free exploration of the in-game world.
5. Another major additional activity associated with platinum trophy is the task of collecting cars. You need to find all 5 hidden vehicles and add at least 30 different cars to Tommy's garage. Fortunately, there are more than 30 vehicles in the game, so in a particular case there is no requirement to find 100% of the available means of transport.
6. A large part of the trophies consists in completing the mission of the main storyline - each task has its own individual achievement. This is the easiest part of earning trophies, as you can complete any Mafia 1 Remake mission on any difficulty level and choose any endings (if a given mission allows you to behave in several different ways).
7. The set of trophies is complemented by achievements such as losing a 5-star police chase, speeding to the limits while driving one of the slower cars in the game, or performing a wheelie while riding a motorcycle. They are not difficult or time-consuming.
8. You can't miss any trophy. The game allows you to repeat completed main missions. You can also travel freely around the city in the Free Ride mode, although it does not allow you to explore some unique locations associated with missions (e.g. airport or racetrack).

The Original Gangster

A Life Of Crime

Type of trophy: gold

How to unlock: Completed the game on Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty.

Comment: Easy, Medium or Hard difficulty levels are available. Select the highest one for completing the game for the first time. The important information is that the difficulty level chosen at the beginning of the game can be changed dynamically as the game progresses. You can help yourself in this way if you have, for example, some troubles with a battle or time-limited mission. You can open the pause menu or the options menu, select the Game tab and the first item from the list.

Additional note - If you do not want to complicate the game too much, then use the standard settings, that is, Police Response - Regular, Driving Mode - Regular and the Automatic Transmission setting. These additional difficulty level settings do not affect the chances of unlocking the described trophy in any way.

Made Man

Type of trophy: gold

How to unlock: Complete the game on the Classic difficulty level.

Comment: Classic difficulty level should be selected when you play-through the game for the second time. While playing the story campaign for the first time, on one of the lower difficulty levels, you will be able to learn all game mechanics (just like combat) and find out more about the objectives of individual missions. Remember not to change the difficulty level at any point in the game or you will lose your chance to earn a trophy.

We have described the Classic difficulty level in more detail on another page of our guide - Difficulty levels. Its most challenging part is the car race in the Fair Play mission of the game, which is as hard as it was in the original Mafia The City of Lost Heaven. In addition, the classical difficulty level adds a lot of impediments and additional difficulties - opponents cause higher damage, awareness of police officers is increased, vehicles are less durable and first aid kits are less effective.

Supercharged

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: Win the race.

Comment: Winning a car race is a major part of the fifth story mission - Fair Play. The race itself has also been described in more detail on a separate page of our game guide - Race - how to win it?. It's available in the FAQ section of our guide.

If you have problems with the race, change the difficulty level to easy. This will make competitors drive much slower. You won't have problems with overtaking them. You will be able to keep driving even if you make some big mistakes and lose valuable time.

Lined Pockets

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Paid a fine to the Lost Heaven Police Department.

Not Taken In

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Resisted arrest by the Lost Heaven Police Department.

Comment: This achievement has been described in detail on a separate page of the trophy guide.

Heat From The Cops

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Lost the cops after accruing a five star police chase.

Comment: This achievement has been described in detail on a separate page of the trophy guide.

Car Enthusiast

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Lockpicked 5 cars on the streets of Lost Heaven and environs.

Comment: It's a simple trophy that won't take you long to unlock. The fastest way to get it occurs during the Ordinary Routine mission. At the start of this mission, Tommy receives a lockpick from Ralphie that can be used to break into parked cars. Use the lockpick on a regular basis in subsequent missions and in Free Ride mode. However, it is worth noting that it is not required while stealing a convertible or a motorcycle. It must be some kind of a vehicle with hardtop / roof.

That Motor Can Move

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Reached 50mph while driving the Bolt Ace.

Stunt Rider

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Performed a wheelie for 3 seconds.

Comment: This achievement has been described in detail on a separate page of the trophy guide.

Quite the Collection

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Collected 15 vehicles in the Garage.

Comment: Check the description of the Motor Museum trophy.

Motor Museum

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: Collected 30 vehicles in the Garage.

Comment: Tommy's garage will be unlocked for the first time at the beginning of the Fair play main mission. You can use it later in selected story missions and in Free Ride mode. In addition, in Free Ride mode, you can find other garages on the world map that have the same application.

All the vehicles you stole or somehow acquired will be transferred and stored in your garage. You don't have to personally deliver new cars to the garage because they are automatically transferred. Each newly added vehicle stays in the garage permanently, that is, you can take it on missions or go for a ride any number of times and you won't lose it.

A total of 36 different vehicles can be stored in Tommy's garage and this means that the described trophy does not require you to find 100% of them.

Here's some information and advice on adding vehicles to your garage:

1. Try to steal all newly found vehicles in the game world. All you have to do is get in the stolen vehicle and it will be permanently marked as unlocked.
2. You don't have to steal trucks or buses. These vehicles, due to their large size, are not taken into account when collecting vehicles, because they simply would not fit in the garage. Smaller vans, ambulances or pick-ups, on the other hand, can be stolen because they can fit in your garage.
3. Some vehicles are unlocked as part of major missions. You can, for example, receive a new vehicle at the very beginning of a mission or take control of it while completing a task.
4. You can earn bonus vehicles in Free Ride mode. Check the list of hidden vehicles in the Hidden Vehicles section of our guide to find out more about that. Bonus cars have been divided into two main groups. The first group are hidden cars that can be found in garages shown in the postcards.
5. The second group of bonus cars are vehicles that can be earned by completing side missions or challenges in the Free Ride mode. They have been described in the Free Ride mode missions section.

Pulp Fiction

Lending Library

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: Found all Pulp Magazines.

Comment: Pulp Magazines is one of the secrets of Mafia Definitive Edition and the locations of finding them have been provided in the Secrets and collectibles chapter of our guide.

Magazines are divided into 4 main categories:

1. Dime Detective - there are 20 editions that can be found
2. Black Mask - there are 20 editions that can be found
3. Super Science Stories - there are 20 editions that can be found
4. Terror Tales - there are 20 editions that can be found

Comic Violence

Family History

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Found a 'Gangsters of the United States' cigarette card.

Full Set

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: Found all 'Gangsters of the United States' cigarette cards.

Comment: Cigarette Cards / collectible cards are one of the secrets available in Mafia Definitive Edition and you can find out more about their locations in the Secrets and collectibles chapter of our guide. There are 22 collectibles of this type which can be collected.

On the Tail

How to unlock: Found a hidden car.

Car Thief Number One

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: All hidden cars have been found.

Comment: Hidden Cars is one of the secrets available in Mafia Definitive Edition. Check the Hidden Cars section of our guide to find out where you can find all of these majestic vehicles. There are 5 hidden cars to unlock:

1. Disorder

3. Manta Prototype
4. Trautenberg Sport
5. Lassiter V16 Appolyon

As a reminder, finding secret cars is best done in Free Ride mode. In Lucas Bertone's workshop you can find postcards with hints on where to find hidden cars. Each time you have to find a garage in which a special car is stored. Reaching the garage will automatically unlock the car and permanently add it to Tommy's garage.

Mystery Fox Discovered

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Found a Mystery Fox.

Comment: Check the description of Mystery Fox Domination trophy.

Mystery Fox Domination

Type of trophy: silver

How to unlock: Found all Mystery Foxes.

Comment: Mystery Foxes are one of the secrets category in Mafia Definitive Edition. To find out more about their whereabouts please check the Secrets and collectibles section of our game guide.

There are as many as 50 Foxes that can be found in the game. Search for a unique graffiti in order to find a fox in the particular area. After you find a stuffed fox, you have to interact with it in order to add it to your collection.

The Whole Story

Type of trophy: gold

How to unlock: Completed the Collection.

Comment: This trophy forces you to find all the secrets / collectibles available in the Collection menu (in the Pause menu). You just have to deal with the trophies described above associated with specific types of secrets.

The collection includes:

1. Pulp magazines - you must find 20 Dime Detective magazines, 20 Black Mask magazines, 20 Super Science Stories magazines and 20 Terror Tales magazines.
2. Picture Books / Comics - you must find 10 Gangsters Monthly comic books.
3. Cigarette Cards - you must find 22 unique cards.
4. Post Cards - there are 5 postcards to collect and they are all in Lucas Bertone's workshop.
5. Mystery Foxes - there is a total of 50 Foxes that can be found.

To unlock this achievement, you do not need to find all 50 Mystery Foxes. They are linked to separate trophies – Mystery Fox Discovered and Mystery Fox Domination.

Not Classy

Trophy type: bronze

How to unlock: Took Paulie to a Place of Disrepute.

Comment: This trophy forces you to unlock a hidden ending of the Fair play main story mission (5th mission). A description of the alternative ending of this task can be found in our walkthrough.

For the record, you must advance to the final part of mission 5, in which Tommy is given the task of driving a drunk Paulie to his home. Instead of taking Paulie to his house, you have to take him to the Blue Tropics club in the Central Island neighborhood. The location of the club is shown in the pictures above.
