Convoys are protected in various ways.

Hood ornaments are collectible items obtained by destroying convoys, more specifically by eliminating the trucks driven by convoy's leaders. After eliminating such vehicle, an ornament will appear near the wreck. Pick it up in order to add it to your collection. There are 13 convoys available, which means there are 13 Hood ornaments to collect. These items, when installed on the front or the back of the vehicle, give you various bonuses (like increasing the vehicle's durability).
