This page of the guide to Lost Judgment contains the walkthrough for Chapter 3: Two Sides of the Same Coin. You will learn what the Buzz Researcher app is and how to win the fight against Jin Kuwana. At the end you will read how to unlock the Extract shop.
Buzz Researcher
At the beginning of Chapter 3, leave the school and go to the Yokohama 99 office. When you get there, you will receive the Buzz Researcher app from Tsukumo. It will allow you to browse the posts written by the city residents, and look for new side cases in the game.
Tsukumo will also give you a new gadget, Noise Amp, a device used to amplify sound.
After talking to Tsukumo, leave the office and follow the marker on the map. When you reach the building, press L3 to enter search mode and select Noise Amp. Point the device up between 2 blocks and investigate the source of the sound.
Run up to the air conditioner on the left side of the screen and climb up the pipes. Go around the broken pipe and keep climbing.
Once you get off the building, select all dialogue options with the man one by one. When the conversation ends, check what he has in his pockets.
Defeating the underpants thief will end the side case - The Falling Man. At the end, return to the Yokohama 99 office.
Plage Restaurant
Head to the Plage restaurant. Before entering, you will be attacked by a few enemies. Remember to disarm them first, dodge their punches, and change fighting styles according to your preferences.
After talking with the teacher, look at the photograph. In quick search mode, investigate:
- Face,
- Tie,
- Left shoulder,
- Right shoulder,
- Debris on the right side of the photo.
When you leave the restaurant you will be attacked by Jin Kuwana. The best way to win this fight is to deflect his attacks (X/A) and then punch him quickly in the back. Try to also catch and knock the enemy over with the circle/B.
Take advantage of objects such as chairs and tables, too. Pick up the object by pressing circle/B, then throw it by pressing the same key again.
To win the fight, you must first eliminate the enemy's yellow, and then orange health bar, which are displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Extract shop
After the next cutscene you will meet the owner of the Extract shop. When the fight starts, go into the Items tab on your phone and drink the Warrior's Onslaught Extract you just received from Iyama.
To complete the tutorial, use the special ability on an opponent 3 times by quickly pressing circle/B.
After winning the battle, you will unlock the Extract shop in Yokohama and receive some items for making the extract. Go to recipes and make the Warrior's Onslaught extract. Iyama will also give you a vessel used for making extracts - Mysterious Gourd.
At this point, the side case - Extracting the Past- will unlock.
To finish Chapter 3, leave the store and go to the office.
