Tranquil Karkosa is the second Tier 2 Gate of Paradise Abyssal Dungeon in Lost Ark. On this page you will learn the boss fights mechanics and how to complete this dungeon. To enter the dungeon, you need 960 ilvl.
Kallivan of the Eroded Storm
The first boss has two key mechanics. The first one consists in summoning two wizards. You will be notified of this, Also, the health bar of the boss will disappear, as he will then be invincible. You must defeat them to continue - they are marked on the mini-map as the place where they appear might vary. However, you don't have to worry about the smaller enemies equipped with cannons - they are here just to disturb you.
The second mechanic is the classic Stagger Check, which will start right after the wizards are defeated.
There are two key attacks, which involve a specific mechanics, but they can be dodged easily. The first attack involves the appearance of the blue and red zones. Keep an eye on the boss now: if he has a gun up, head for the red zones. If he holds an anchor, run to the blue ones. The second mechanic involves blue rays that can appear in front of the players. Once they appear, you must turn towards the edge of the arena, because after a while these rays will lead to a shot being fired towards you that can hurt your allies.
Karkosa's Punisher
The second boss is much easier and has no wipe attacks. He uses three key attacks. The first one, the so-called pizza attack, causes three circle slices to appear in the arena that will follow three players. After a moment, the location of the slices will be attacked and it will damage everyone who has not escaped the area. The targeted player should not move to allow others to get to the safe zone and should dodge the attack at the last second right as the "pizza" disappears.
The second mechanic involves summoning a monster, Deep Sea Melanos, which will be slowly approaching the boss. When it reaches the boss, a powerful area attack will be triggered, but it will not be fatal. Nevertheless, try to dodge it and eliminate the fish. If a player gets immobilized by one of the boss's attacks, they can get caught by the boss. This will cause massive damage against a single player, although the sequence can be interrupted by Stagger attacks targeted at the boss.
Karkosa Monarch Draikhan
The most important (and the most difficult) mechanics of the third fight occurs when the boss has:
- 16 health bars: stage 1 - 1234,
- 8 health bars: stage 2 - 12334.
In this mechanics, 8 fields will appear around the arena at designated times. From these spots, orbs will be fired towards the boss. Each player must alternately collect two of each. To do this, position yourself in the designated field (or if you're playing a slow character, stand a little closer to the boss to reduce the distance) and then move clockwise with the other players after collecting the first orb. Each player must collect an orb from each consecutive field. Once an orb has been picked up, a debuff message appears, which is to be treated as confirmation of collecting the orb.
In the second stage (8 health bars), the procedure is repeated; however, you must stop when picking up the third orb (the direction changes then) and go to the last orb. In the second stage then, you collect a total of five orbs, you stop by the third one, which forms the 12334 sequence.
Some of the boss's attacks cause debuffs, which can stack up. To get rid of them, collect blue orbs around the arena. One blue orb removes one debuff level. Most of the time, the debuffs slow you down, which may prevent you from performing the previously mentioned mechanics correctly.
