Sharpshooter uses a bow to fight - Lost Ark: Sharpshooter (Gunner) - character class - Gunner - Lost Ark Guide

Sharpshooter uses a bow to fight. He doesn't have very strong skills, but he fights at medium range and is still vulnerable to attacks - something his high mobility protects him from. Said mobility is also a part of his offensive strategy.

The Sharpshooter class is dedicated for people who want to choose a long-range unit, but without fancy combos and complex mechanics.

Due to his ranged combat style he can't take many direct hits. He's heavily reliant on crit damage. You can't modify his build too much. He also has two major drawbacks: some of his attacks require him to fight in melee and risk getting hit, others take a long time to prepare, exposing you to damage.

Classic build

The Sharpshooter may have two class engravings like all others, but practically-speaking he's locked into a single playstyle. You can switch between the engravings without changing your skills and playstyle or even use both engravings at once. This is because they mostly affect the behavior of your summonable hawk.

Engravings:

  1. Death Strike - class engraving. Summoning a hawk makes it self-destruct after attacking an enemy. This makes the opponent much more vulnerable to your attacks (by up to 40%) and fills your meter back after you strike, letting you summon the hawk again very quickly.
  2. Loyal Companion - class engraving. The hawk deals more damage, increases your movement speed and inflicts the targeted enemy with the Mark of Death, increasing the damage they take from you and your party members.
  3. Hit Master - A safe and reliable damage increase with no drawbacks.

Optional Engravings:

  1. Keen Blunt Weapons - synergizes well with high crit rate attacks granted by the tripods of certain skills. Level 3 recommended.
  2. Grudge - increases damage dealt and the damage taken. This drawback is not as severe for ranged characters but you still have to be careful and dodge well. Level 3 recommended. Sharpshooters may have a difficult time with this engraving.
  3. Cursed Doll - Yet another difficult engraving due to it lowering your health recovery. In return, though, your damage will increase by up to 16%. Level 3 recommended.
  4. Raid Captain - Damage increase based on Swiftness. Received from the Loyal Companion engraving. Synergizes with the Spirit Absorption engraving.

Combat stats:

  1. Crit - 50%- the most important stat for all Sharpshooter builds.
  2. Specialization - 25% - increases the rate your Hawk Meter fills; higher investment recommended for the Death Strike build.
  3. Swiftness - 25% - there's never too much attack speed and movement speed. Higher investment recommended for the Loyal Companion build.
