Lost Ark: Deadeye (Gunner) - character class Lost Ark guide, walkthrough

On this page of the Lost Ark guide we have described the class of one of the Gunner game characters - Deadeye. It's based on the version of the game from 2022.

Last update: 22 March 2022

This page of the guide covers the features and skills of the Gunner, specifically the Deadeye Advanced Class.

Deadeye class description

Gender: Male

Combat style: Short and long range combat.

Specialization: This class uses three weapons and can switch between them during combat.

Like the Gunslinger, he uses three weapons: a pistol, a shotgun and a rifle - Lost Ark: Deadeye (Gunner) - character class - Gunner - Lost Ark Guide

Like the Gunslinger, he uses three weapons: a pistol, a shotgun and a rifle. Deadeye also has a similar skill set. However, Deadeye is a shorter range specialist, which requires from the player to be more mobile. If you think you'll be able to master fighting on different fields by switching between weapons, you'll be able to squeeze a lot out of this character. Each weapon has its own set of skills and cooldowns.

It's a DPS class for long-range players, and it requires mastery of three-weapon combat mechanics. It may prove to be slightly more difficult than Gunslinger.

Enhanced Weapon build

Enhanced Weapon is a very simple build that doesn't really stand out in any way. Class Engraving only offers an increased chance of critical damage by 20% when you switch weapons. Even if you weren't going to use any pre-made builds, using this engraving does have a passive benefit. Nevertheless, the official build version focuses on abandoning sniper rifle and focusing merely on pistols and your shotgun.

Engravings:

  1. Enhanced Weapon - class engraving.
  2. Adrenaline - you will improve your crit chance and attack power without negative consequences. However, it requires frequent use of the gun during the initial phase of rotation.

Optional engravings:

  1. Keen Blunt Weapon - great engraving for this character as it can generate a high chance of crits. Suggested Level 3.
  2. Master of Ambush or Hit Master - Master of Ambush will improve the damage of shotgun's Back Attack. However, if you don't want to rely on them, you can choose Hit Master. You will get smaller damage boost, but none of the negative side effects.
  3. Raid Captain and Spirit Absorption - a pair of engravings that enhances damage by up to 45%. Depending on the amount of Swiftness you can use them as an extra, without trying to maximize them.

Combat stats:

  1. Crit - 30% - greater chance of critical hit,
  2. Specialization - 70% - improves the damage of every weapon you have.

By using the engraving Raid Captain you can invest some points in Swiftness.

The numbers in parentheses are the skill level we suggest you to have at character level 50. means you should develop it further, - means you should prioritize developing it.

Playstyle:

To maximize this hero's critical damage, you should use Back Attack (shotgun) - 10% Crit Rate. If you unleash a series of attacks by using Spiral Tracker, you will gain an additional 10% bonus. This way, proper positioning of the hero and skill rotation will allow you to attack with crits almost constantly. You should mainly stick to the enemy. In case of a short break or cover you can move away to use the sniper rifle, but in this build this weapon is almost redundant.

Pistoleer build

This build strips the hero of all his weapons except his pistol. As a result player gets increased pistol damage, Stagger damage, and improved Awakening skill. This way you get a very mobile character that deals constant damage and doesn't care about anything too much. Such build is rather easy to play, however, it can get a bit boring over time. It's worth trying it on Tier 3 as the character gets a very high chance for critical damage as specialization increases.

Engravings:

  1. Pistoleer - class engraving, suggested level 3.
  2. Adrenaline - extra damage and crit chance while performing fast attacks - perfect engraving for pistols.

Optional engravings:

  1. Precise Dagger - since the hero is not focused on performing critical attacks by default, this is the only engraving that can improve this problem.
  2. Hit Master - damage increase;
  3. Raid Captain - damage increase at a level dependent on Swiftness, it's worth combining it with Spirit Absorption.

Combat stats:

  1. Swiftness - 70% - greater mobility, attack speed and shorter coolodowns.
  2. Specialization - 30% - increases damage of every weapon you have.

By using the engraving Raid Captain you can invest some points in Swiftness.

The numbers in parentheses are the skill level we suggest you to have at character level 50. means you should develop it further, - means you should prioritize developing it.

Playstyle:

The gameplay with Pistoleer build is very dynamic: you have a lot of possibilities to perform evasive movements and you can attack from almost any position. If you want to make the gameplay more difficult, you can rely more on a few attacks that use the Back Attack trait to increase the damage, but this will require you to maintain your position at the back of the boss.
