On this page of the Lost Ark guide we have described the class of one of the heroes of the Warrior class- Paladin. It's based on the version of the game from 2022.

Last update: 22 March 2022

This page of the guide covers the features and skills of the Warrior, specifically the Paladin Advanced Class. This page lists Paladin's skills and engravings using terminology and builds relevant in 2022. You will also learn the classic Paladin build for combat and support.

Paladin Class Description

Gender: Male

Combat style: Melee

Specialization: Piety Meter - increases with damage dealt. It has two activation functions: Sacred Executioner, which influences attack/solo play (improved range and attack of blue skills), and Holy Aura, which is responsible for extending the effect of yellow skills to allies within 12 meters.

To play a Paladin efficiently, you have to learn the game world well - Lost Ark: Paladin (Warrior) - character class - Warrior - Lost Ark Guide

To play a Paladin efficiently, you have to learn the game world well. He's not bad in combat, although his attacks aren't that impressive against stronger opponents. However, he is a balanced support class with healing and buffing skills which can, for example, increase allies' attack.

The Paladin is one of two available supports - the other is the Bard - but he also does pretty well when playing solo.

As you will quickly notice, Paladin's skills are divided into blue (Punish Skills) and yellow(Holy Skills) - offensive and supportive. The supportive skills work on the player and (when Holy Aura is activated) on others. Unlike many classes, Paladin's engravings don't require changing the way you play.

Paladin - classic build

As mentioned above, Paladin is not a hero whose job is to focus on dealing as much damage as possible or dealing with hordes of enemies - his goal is to support. Nevertheless, below you will find tips on building your character to be useful in battle and suitable to play solo. You will also learn what features specific engravings have.

Engravings:

  1. Blessed Aura - when the aura is active, you lower the damage you and the group in range take and allow them to regenerate health.
  2. Awakening - decreases skill cooldown time.

Optional engravings (support):

  1. Drops of Ether - the hero drops Ethers onto the arena, orbs that can be collected by allies to gain buffs.
  2. Expert - increases the effect of Holy Protection and Holy Aura skills.
  3. Judgment - increases the Piety Meter gain when using blue skills(Punishment Skills).

Optional engravings ("DPS"):

  1. Spirit Absorption - increases the attack power and speed of the Paladin,
  2. Heavy Armor Equipment - increases the hero's defense.

Combat stats

  1. Swiftness - influences the speed and strength of the attack but also reduces the cooldown of skills (75% of available points),
  2. Specialization - improves the stats of Holy Aura, a special skill that affects both the hero and those he supports(25% of available points).

The numbers in parentheses are the skill level we suggest you to have at character level 50. means you should develop it further, - means you should prioritize developing it.

The choice of skills can be modified depending on whether you are fighting numerous enemies (e.g. Chaos Dungeon) or you focus on the boss fights.

Playstyle:

Despite being a support, Paladin should be placed in the middle of the group because most of his buffs work in the area around him. As a fighter, he is balanced - he won't die after a single blow, and when you choose proper offensive skills, he can still deal moderately high damage. Attack in his case is almost necessary - to build the Piety Meter.
