Lost Ark: Information on classes and subclasses Lost Ark guide, walkthrough

On this page you will find a brief explanation of the differences between the different classes and subclasses (Advanced Class) in Lost Ark.

Last update: 16 February 2022

This page of the Lost Ark guide holds a brief summary regarding the available character classes and subclasses (Advanced Classes): it covers the main differences between them, their basic attributes and what you should keep in mind when creating your character. The following pages of this guide explain the character classes for 2022.

The key problem in choosing a class in any game is said class meeting all the player's expectations while being fun to play. This is not an easy task, which is why the following pages of the guide describe all the available character classes, their strengths and weaknesses.

  1. There are 5 main classes and 15 subclasses available in total.
  2. Neither your class nor subclass can be changed after you start the game - a lot of progress is shared between different characters though, so starting anew with a new character isn't as painful as it could be. During character creation you can summon monsters to try out the subclasses in combat.
  3. Note - some classes, depending on gender, have different subclasses available.

The classes' playstyles differ greatly from one another. Key differences:

  1. Hit Points,
  2. Attack range and character mobility,
  3. Using elements during attacks,
  4. Support abilities,
  5. Specific methods of using special attacks,
  6. Length of skill cooldown and delay between attacks.
Additionally, in an unusual twist from the basic MMORPG formula, you don't get attribute points - they're assigned to specific classes. - Lost Ark: Information on classes and subclasses - Classes and builds - Lost Ark Guide

It's usually difficult to decide on your class or subclass, as several options may appeal to you, or you may want to play a jack-of-all-trades: a character who'll be useful during team Raids, good in combat against monsters and good in arena combat.
