This page of our guide to Life is Strange True Colors contains a description of part 3 of Episode 3. Your task is to impersonate a bard and support Ethan during LARP.
Talk with Ethan
As soon as you leave the house, you go to Ethan. You need to talk to him and convince him to join in the game. The boy does not want to participate, he thinks that people care for him, and he does not deserve it.
Start of the fun
After Ethan is convinced, you will go to the park. There, you will meet the king, who will begin the whole story.
You will also receive a map of the town, with which you will be able to determine where and when to go.
Steph took care of the details. Look around - you can find various items and coins that will make it easier to play.
First fight
You will encounter wolves in your way. This is your first opponents.
The fight is simple. In the upper right corner, you can see the health status of Alex and Ethan. You can't see your opponent's health points.
Your will choose Alex and Ethan's attacks. The most sensible thing to do is use Ethan to attack and Alex to heal and strengthen his companion. Use special items only as a last resort. Better leave them for the boss fight.
The wolf will left behind some coins and a new skill for Ethan.
The Bar
After the fight, it's time to go to the bar. There are traces of blood in front of it, and inside are the remains of a fight.
Duckie will give you the key. Now you can open the little box that's on the counter. There is the first stone you need to complete the task.
However, if you go ask the gnome questions, you will get a new skill for Alex, which can help you in the fight.
Steph
It's time to go to Steph. She turned her shop into a magical place. You can buy items from her to facilitate the fight and those needed for the mission.
If you've chosen Steph at the beginning of the chapter, you can check her mind. This will unlock a new dialog option.
Look for "Soul Sapphire" on the stand. However, it is way too expensive. Steph will tell you that you can get it if only you find a fish shell.
If you have read Steph's thoughts, you can also choose "For my hand in marriage?". Unfortunately, the woman refuses, but if you look into her mind, she will be delighted.
Second fight
Time to head to the river. That's where you'll get into the next fight. You have to defeat the enemy to get a valuable item. The rules are the same as before, so you will eliminate the enemy without any problem.
Once you get rid of your opponent, you can pick up the shell and go back to Steph. That way, you'll get what the Soul Sapphire.
Florist's
While exploring the city, you can go to the florist's. Ethan will stay outside, and you can talk to Riley and see how she's doing.
Third fight
Go to the bridge to fight another battle. This time with the gnome, it has has the stone you need. You have to kill him to get a valuable item.
Sword
Go back to the park with all the stones. There you will meet Charlotte, who will direct you to a sword that you can get.
Ethan won't be sure if he should go, but Alex will convince him that the sword belongs to him.
Alex will enter Ethan's mind, where you will fight the ultimate boss.
Boss
The boss fight is based on the same rules as before. However, the interface is slightly changed, and the attacks are much more spectacular.
Focus on healing the heroes. You can do this with special items. Once you've healed your characters, try attacking the boss. You have to deplete the boss of as many life points as possible so that he doesn't block your attacks. He will often use the attacks that stop the heroes.
After defeating the boss, this part will end. Ethan will hear the alarm sirens, and Alex will comfort him and convince him that he is not to blame for this whole situation.
