On this page of our guide to Life is Strange True Colors you will find a description of Part 1 in Episode 3. You're gonna meet up with Steph and Ryan, spend some time with Diane and take ownership of her.
Cleaning up
This chapter begins with a conversation with Steph. You and Ryan will reveal Alex's powers to her. Steph is thrilled, she quickly connects the dots and figures out you've already used your powers on her.
Your task is to clean up the dishes which will begin the next part of the task. You can, however, skip the cleaning and start off by doing a sidequest and collecting pickups. Several of Alex's friends are in the bar, Charlotte and Duckie will gladly talk to you.
Diane
Diane will appear in the bar once you clean up all the dishes. She'll go directly to her table. This is your last opportunity to explore. If you initiate a conversation with Diane, you'll immediately return to your apartment after it ends.
If you've decided to progress the story, approach Steph and Ryan. You'll have to make an important choice.
You have to decide who'll try to hit on Diane to distract her. This important choice is described on a separate page of the guide.
After talking to your friends go to Diane. She's working, but she can answer your questions.
The first dialogue choice will have a huge impact on Diane's behavior and emotions.
- If you choose "Help me. For Gabe's sake", you'll make Diane sad.
- By choosing "I know you're responsible" you'll make her angry.
To keep the conversation going, you can look through the things on the counter. Diane will give vague answers to nosey questions.
If you decide you've already looked through everything, look into Diane's emotions to see something new.
Regardless of Diane's emotional state, you'll notice a flash drive in her handbag. Once you focus on it, there's no turning back. Alex will message the previously selected person.
In our case, it was Steph. Just like Ryan would, she'll distract Diane. Meanwhile Alex will steal her property, and the next scene will take place in the apartment.
