General tips LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 Guide

Last update: 13 December 2017

  • Finish the campaign before you start completing the game in 100%. This way you can unlock characters who can be used in completing certain puzzles. You don't have to find all secrets in story missions. You also don't need to collect studs because you can get them in free play mode and with a studs multiplier activated. Focus on the story and then do the secrets in free play mode.
  • Focus on getting one important character before you start playing in the free play mode. This character is Black Widow - she can become invisible which allows you to complete some of the puzzles that require this ability. Black Widow can be unlocked by completing all her side missions. These quests can be found during free roam, in the place that connects two locations - Nueva York and Sakaar (near the battle arena).
  • Not all missions can be completed right away. Some of them remain locked until you complete an objective from another location. For example, you can't complete Nick Fury's mission on Manhattan until you complete a challenge in which you have to help S.H.I.E.L.D. agents. Don't worry when you notice a "padlock" icon on the map. This means that you should simply focus on completing other activities.
  • Save studs. Studs are the only currency in the game (excluding the pink bricks that unlock additional bonuses). In the beginning you should only collect studs and don't spend them on anything. Get enough of them, go back to the Avengers Mansion and spend them on Stud Multipliers. First, buy x2, then x4 and when you reach x6, you can start spending studs on characters or vehicles.
  • Complete minor missions in free roam mode during your money earning. If you come across enemies and you start attacking them, you will increase your multiplier. For example, one defeated enemy gives you x2 multiplier, two x3 etc. The highest possible multiplier is x10 and, when combined with pink bricks, one blue stud can give you several hundred times more than without those multipliers.
  • After completing a few missions, you get access to Chronopolis, the place where you can find all locations for free roam mode. Remember that you can change view after opening the map. The lower level has numerous hubs and the upper level has Attilan, a flying city, and Knowhere base. Each location has a computer that allows you to place various markers on your map (side missions, puzzles with gold bricks or Stan Lee's locations).
  • The order of completing the main missions presented in this guide isn't the only correct order. For example, mission four, What's Klaw's Is Mined, can be finished after mission five. It is important to select the right team before each mission. The teams' list can be found in the descriptions of each of the main missions.
