On this page we explain the New Game Plus mode in Layers of Fear 2, which you can select when you have completed the game. You'll find out what things take place in this mode and features it has.

After you have finished the game and seen one of the endings, return to the main menu. A New Game+ option will appear in the main menu.

The most important feature of the New Game Plus mode is that the game remembers all the collectibles that you have unlocked during the first pass. After you reach the hero's cabin once again (after a short prologue) they will be available immediately (as shown in the picture - example tapes for the phonograph). You don't have to find them again and you can focus only on the secrets you omitted.

Before you start repeating the already completed acts of the game, take the opportunity to use the telescope. You can catch up two new items. The first one is a drifting painting. This is the "reward" for completing the fifth act.

The second item that can be fished out is the artifact associated with the You Can't Handle the Truth achievement. Check out our trophy guide to learn how to make it spawn on the water.

In the New Game+ mode, you don't have to go through the successive acts in the order the game imposes. When you get to the projector room, you'll find all five movie tapes on the table. This allows you to select only the act you are currently interested in. Try to complete it so that the newly found secrets and new choices will be saved correctly.
