Chapter 16 - part 2 K&L: DM Guide

Keep heading forward. You will have to deal with several soldiers along the way. Look around a lot, so you won't leave someone behind. Head on to the second staircase which leads directly to the church (screen). You'll be rewarded with a new cut-scene there. It turns out that only one of your colleagues has survived.

New objective: Get To The Boats

Start off by ordering everyone from your team to hide inside the church. I wouldn't recommend exposing them to enemy fire. Remain near the entrance and make sure you're facing the stairs. Wait for a few soldiers to get here (screen) and kill them before they're able to fight back. You should be using a heavy machine gun during these fights. You can pick up this weapon from one of the killed soldiers.

Approach the stairs carefully. You should consider using one of the nearby brick walls for much needed cover. Don't leave this area. Instead, start shooting at some of the visible enemy soldiers. They will be using tombstones and other large objects for cover, so you must wait for them to expose themselves to your fire. You should also take out a jeep and its crew. Use the grenades or a grenade launcher if you don't want to waste more bullets for your machine gun.

Consider moving to your right. Use an assault rifle and kill some of the visible enemy soldiers from here. There's a jeep near your area. Make sure you've neutralized its crew. You should also take a look at the lower section of the stairs leading to this church. A large group may have arrived there.

It would be a good idea to take a sniper rifle from one of the killed soldiers. Use this weapon to take out a few enemy units, however you should conserve the ammunition. As a result, focus only on neutralizing other vehicles and the road leading directly to the pier. You should have at least five more bullets once you've finished.

I would recommend staying here. Order your men to start moving towards the pier. Keep pressing the 3 key once you've targeted certain areas of the map. Look at the screen - it's one of the possible routes leading to your target zone. Obviously you could try and find an alternative route, however this one seems to be the safest one. Provide a covering fire for your men from the higher ground. Obviously you should be using a sniper rifle. Make sure they're moving slowly, so they'll kill everyone they encounter.
