Chapter 16 - part 1 K&L: DM Guide

Detailed mission walkthrough:

IMPORTANT! This mission becomes available only if you've decided to choose a correct solution at the end of the previous level. Instead of using the helicopter to escape with Jenny you would have to agree to help some of the trapped allied units.

New objective: Rescue Your Men In The Church

You'll start the mission in a safe area, so you don't have to hide anywhere. This is going to be a unique mission, because Jenny will follow you all the time. Sadly, you can't leave her somewhere behind. As a result, you will have to be more careful while exploring the map and you'll rely on Lynch. Proceed to your right and use the stairs. Now you must go to your left.

Keep heading forward. You've probably noticed that one of the enemy soldiers has just used a rocket launcher to attack the church. It shouldn't come as a surprise that you must eliminate him as soon as possible. You'll find him just around the corner. Neutralize the gunner on the jeep while you're there. Thankfully, he'll be shooting at the church, so you won't see you coming.

Now you will have to choose between using the turret on the jeep and eliminating enemy soldiers from a safer distance. The first large group will appear to your left. Make sure you observe this entrance, because more enemy units will arrive there in a short while. You will also have to watch out for Jenny, so she won't end up getting shot at. Protect her with your own body if it's necessary.

I would recommend moving forward and then turning left. This should allow you to arrive near a smaller entrance. Look at the screen if you're having some difficulties figuring out which one it's going to be. Hide behind the wall and eliminate a few other soldiers from here. It's very important that Jenny stays with you. If you see her doing something stupid, retreat immediately in order to prevent her from going into enemy territory.

Keep heading towards the church. You will have to prevent enemy soldiers from harming you or someone from your team. Thankfully, you won't have to secure this entire area right now. Focus only on getting to your target. You will have to find an entrance which leads to the stairs (screen). Wait for Lynch and Jenny to arrive before moving on any further.

Be careful, because more enemy soldiers will appear near the stairs. Most of them will attack you right away, however a few soldiers will remain somewhere near the church. Use the stairs to get closer to your current destination. I wouldn't recommend stopping here, because you'll be exposed to enemy fire.
