Location of the final boss fight
Specter Prime is a large machine Tilda unexpectedly takes control of during the finale of the game. She's the final boss of the campaign, faced at the end of the Singularity main quest, shortly after reaching the top of the tower.
Description of the fight against Specter Prime
Make sure you scan Specter Prime (it's the only enemy of its kind you'll encounter). The final boss' biggest weakness is plasma, so try to equip Aloy with a plasma-based weapon. If you don't have such weapons, you can use acid instead. You should also equip an outfit making Aloy resistant to fire and shock.
Relying on plasma or acid is very important, since Specter Prime is equipped with nano-armor which initially protects the machine from any serious damage. You must damage and destroy at least some armor fragments.
Interestingly, Spectre Prime has a small regeneration module in its lower chest that can repair damaged armor pieces. You can prevent this from happening by destroying this module early on or by constantly attacking to out-damage its repairing capabilities.
During the duel try to destroy the components Specter Prime uses to execute its strongest attacks:
- Siege Mortars in its upper armor can bombard the surrounding area.
- Pulse Cannon on the Spectre's chest can shoot shock ammo.
- Lancer Prime on the boss's back can fire a series of lance-like projectiles.
- Vector Thruster near its legs lets the boss generate waves of fire you must jump away from.
In addition to its ranged attacks, the boss can also strike you with its upper limbs and use them to destroy cover.
During the fight try staying on the move, dodge often and liberally use your healing items, as you won't need them later on.
By skillfully using the elements the boss is weak to you can stun it and make it kneel or fall down. Use this opportunity to execute a critical hit or to easily fire at some of its weak spots.
Destroy Specter Prime to defeat Tilda once and for all.
