Some of them can only be completing after leaving the Daunt - that is, completing The Embassy main quest.

Aided Cotallo

Comment: The Rebel Camps are large hostile areas found in the game world. One of the game's side activities is taking them over. Each camp comes with unique objectives, usually requiring you to eliminate the rebel leader, dispatch all rebels or find tracks / key items inside. We've described each camp in our world atlas.

Defeated Asera

How to unlock: Investigated all Rebel Camps and helped Erend defeat Asera.

Comment: This is the continuation of the aforementioned trophy. The game world contains six rebel camps in total. Taking over the last one is a separate quest, during which you'll deal with Asera.

First Core Overriden

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: Cauldrons are unique locations found in the game world. Each one is an expansive underground area during which you must solve environmental puzzles, defeat a mini-boss and override the facility.

To obtain this trophy you can choose to delve into the first Cauldron, the one in Cinnabar Sands - we've described it in the world atlas. Make sure Aloy is close to the recommended level, otherwise the boss at the end may prove problematic.

All Cores Overriden

How to unlock: Reached the Core of every Cauldron and accessed their information.

Comment: This is the continuation of the aforementioned trophy. The game world contains four Cauldrons in total. You must explore them all - we've listed their locations in our world atlas.

Obtained 3 Stripes at a Hunting Ground

How to unlock: Earned at least a Quarter Stripe mark in all three trials at one Hunting Ground.

Comment: This trophy is related to the Hunting Grounds, one of the game's optional activities. The Hunting Grounds contain trials - challenges. These can range from eliminating machines in specific ways or killing enemies quietly.

There are three trials in each such area. To acquire this trophy you can complete the first trials encountered in The Daunt - we've described this area's Hunting Grounds in our world atlas. Earning the worst mark in each challenge is enough. You don't need to fully complete the trials for this trophy.

Obtained 3 Stripes at All Hunting Grounds

How to unlock: Earned at least a Quarter Stripe mark in all three trials at all Hunting Grounds.

Comment: This is the continuation of the aforementioned trophy. The game world contains four Hunting Grounds in total, although they don't have to be fully completed. Getting a Quarter Stripe in every challenge is enough. We've described each trial in our world atlas.

All Acquisition Machines Killed

How to unlock: Killed at least one of every type of Acquisition machine.

Comment: This is one of the trophies tied to eliminating machines encountered in the game world. This trophy in particular requires you to kill Acquisition machines, of which there are 18 types in total. Always visit newly discovered machine sites and you should get this trophy on your own.

You also only need to kill a single machine of each species. There's no need to eliminate different variations of the same machine (such as fire or acid). You can track your progress in discovering and eliminating machines by checking the catalogue (one of the tabs in the pause menu).

All Recon Machines Killed

How to unlock: Killed at least one of every type of Reconnaissance machine.

Comment: This is one of the trophies tied to eliminating machines encountered in the game world. This trophy in particular requires you to kill Recon machines, of which there are 4 types in total. Always visit newly discovered machine sites and you should get this trophy on your own.

You also only need to kill a single machine of each species. There's no need to eliminate different variations of the same machine (such as fire or acid). You can track your progress in discovering and eliminating machines by checking the catalogue (one of the tabs in the pause menu).

All Combat Machines Killed

How to unlock: Killed at least one of every type of Combat machine.

All Transport Machines Killed

Rode All Regular Mounts

Comment: You'll find information about ridable machines on the Mounts page. We've also described how to get a mount on the Charger - how to override? page.

  1. You can override a Charger from the very start of the game, with the earliest opportunity to do so appearing in The Daunt.
  2. You'll unlock the Bristleback override when visiting one of the cauldrons, during The Dying Lands main quest.
  3. You'll unlock the Clawstrider override when visiting the IOTA Cauldron - we've described it in our world atlas.

All Machine Types Scanned

How to unlock: Encountered and Focus scanned every type of machine.

Comment: This is one of the more time-consuming trophies, as it requires you to scan all 43 types of machines. Make a habit out of scanning every machine encountered. This is especially important when fighting elite machines / bosses.

You can't forget, under any circumstances, to scan a Specter (pictured above), as they appear only a few times throughout the game and can't be found while free roaming, as well as the final boss, who is only encountered once at the end of the game. All the other machines can be scanned after finishing the main story, even if you miss them the first time.

Completed a Long Glide

How to unlock: Glided uninterrupted for 60 seconds.

Comment: This trophy is tied to the Shieldwing, obtained at the end of your stay in The Daunt.

We recommend to wait until you unlock a flying mount before you tackle this trophy. Fly upwards on your mount, reach the max possible height, jump off, deploy the Shieldwing and start gliding down.

Completed 2 Flying Mount Quests

How to unlock: Completed 2 quests that required a flying mount.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: You unlock flying mounts near the end of the campaign, which is unmissable. Four different quests requiring a flying mount will unlock as well. Choose two of them and complete them.

Won 2 Gauntlet Runs

How to unlock: Won first place in two different Gauntlet Runs.

Comment: Gauntlet Runs are one of the game's optional activities, described in more detail in our world atlas. To unlock this trophy you can choose any two gauntlet runs. You must win each race, crossing the finish line first.

Complete a Set of Salvage Contracts

How to unlock: Completed all contracts at a Salvage Contractor.

Comment: You'll learn about Salvage Contracts early on in the game, by visiting Barren Light in The Daunt and talking with Keruf.

After completing The Embassy main quest you can find a scrapper camp west of Barren Light. You can take contracts from Larend there to deliver unique parts. Complete all of his contracts to unlock the trophy.

Completed 4 Rebel Outposts

Comment: Rebel Outposts are smaller than Rebel Bases. You can find them out in the game world - we've listed their locations in our world atlas.

There's a Leader in each outpost, who can be easily identified with your Focus. Kill the leader and search the corpse to find Soldier Tags. Do this in three more outposts.

Completed 3 Relic Ruins

How to unlock: Discovered and completed 3 Relic Ruins.

Comment: Relic Ruins are unique optional locations found in the game world, described in the secrets and collectibles chapter.

Each of the ruins contain environmental puzzles of varying difficulty. Your objective is to find and collect an ornament. This completes the ruins.

Completed Arena Challenge Set

Comment: Arena challenges are optional activities accessible after completing The Kulrut main quest. You'll then be able to sing up for arena battles in the Memorial Grove.

To unlock the trophy, you can choose the easiest fights with machines and any difficulty level. You don't have to complete 100% of the arena challenges.

Defeated Machine Strike Challengers

Comment: This trophy is tied to Machine Strike, an elaborate board mini-game. You can find Machine Strike players in certain inhabited locations, the first one being available in Chainscrape, in The Daunt. We've described the rules of the board game on a separate page dedicated to it.

Obtained All Weapon Classes

How to unlock: Obtained 1 weapon from every weapon class.

Comment: There are nine main weapon types in the game. Most of them can be acquired or found during the main story. You can buy the ones you're missing from hunters. Each trader offers random items. Buy the weapons belonging to a type you don't own yet.

Used All Elemental States

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: There are six main elements in the game:

  1. Fire
  2. Shock
  3. Frost
  4. Acid
  5. Purgewater
  6. Plasma

Collect weapons using different elements. Purgewater and Plasma weapons will probably be the last ones you acquire. Some weapons can fire different elemental ammo. In this case, select the correct ammo type from the weapon menu.

Performed 3 Melee Combos

Comment: This trophy requires you to learn some active skills from the Warrior tree. Each one unlocks a different melee combo. Unlock any three of these combos and input the correct combination (R1, R1, R2 in the example pictured above) during combat. Each hit during the combo must connect for the game to consider it correctly performed.

Stealth Killed 10 Machines

Comment: This is a very easy trophy. Sneak up on the encountered machines and press R1 to execute a Silent Strike. If the machine isn't elite or at a much higher level than you, a single Silent Strike should destroy it instantly.

Tore Off 100 Components

Comment: This trophy requires you to hit detachable machine components. You can learn about them by scanning the machines and reading through their catalog entries.

Detachable components may be containers, weapons or horns. Use powerful ranged weapons and aim for the components to detach as many as you can before destroying the machine.

Picked Up 5 Heavy Weapons

Comment: We've described heavy weapons in detail on a separate page Firearms - are they in the game?. These are various heavy cannons and guns Aloy can carry temporarily.

You can detach heavy weapons from encountered machines (especially the elite ones), find them out in the game world or take them from killed rebel leaders in some rebel hideouts. You should easily find five different heavy weapons throughout the campaign. There are over ten heavy weapon types in the game in total.

Comment: You can start unlocking new machine overrides only once you unlock the Base during the main story - as described in more detail on a separate part of the guide.

You'll find a Fabrication Terminal there. It lets you browse different machine species and unlock their overrides. Unfortunately, you must first obtain their rare parts (such as fangs) and spend them at the terminal.

Once you unlock a specific override, locate the machine in the game world, sneak up on it and hold down Triangle to override it.

Defeat the Enduring

How to unlock: Defeated the Tenakth melee master known as the Enduring.

Comments: This trophy is tied to the Melee Pits, one of the game's additional activities. They let you practice your attacks and spar.

Your objective is to defeat the champions of four melee pits. Once you do, you'll be able to face the Enduring. You can play on a low difficulty level to make it easier to win these challenges.

Fully Upgraded a Valor Surge

Comment: Valor Surges are special skills unlockable in different skill trees - we've pictured one of them above.

You must purchase skills adjacent to the Valor Surge, then upgrade the special skill to level three. This, obviously, requires many skill points, but thankfully you can choose which Valor Surge exactly to upgrade.

Upgraded 3 Weapons

How to unlock: Fully upgraded 3 weapons.

Comment: You should start upgrading your weapons early on, as upgrading common weapons doesn't require many resources. They also have only three levels (weapons of higher quality may max out at level four or five).

First, interact with a workbench and select one of your weapons. You need to spend resources to upgrade it. If you're missing some, you can create a job so that the game shows you where to get them (for example, in a specific machine site).

Upgraded 3 Outfits

How to unlock: Fully upgraded 3 different outfits.

Comment: This trophy works very similarly to the one described above. In this case just upgrade your outfits instead of your weapons. The lower the outfit's quality, the easier it is to fully upgrade.

Upgraded Every Pouch Type

Comment: This is yet another trophy tied to workbenches, this one requiring you to upgrade your Pouch to store more items in it. You need specific trophies obtained from wild animals, such as hides, to upgrade the Pouch. In case you don't have the resources, you can create a job to make the hunt easier.

Enhanced Weapon with Coils

Comment: This trophy requires a weapon with two empty Coil slots. You must first upgrade it until both of the slots become available (sometimes only one slot is available at first, with the second one being blocked off).

The final step is inserting Coils into the weapon. You can find Coils in the game world or buy them from merchants.

Unlocked 3 Weapon Techniques

Comment: This trophy is tied to developing your character - Weapon Techniques are unique unlockable skills. They're available on different skill trees (example pictured above).

You must first purchase the skills around the technique before it becomes available. You need to purchase techniques for three different weapon types to unlock this trophy. You can check the weapon type when viewing the techniques - in the example above, the technique is exclusive to Spike Throwers.

Skill Tree Learned

How to unlock: Learned all available skills on one tree.

You can choose any of the six trees available, with the Trapper tree being the smallest one. Remember the lower a skill is located, the more points it costs.

Recovered 5 Different Collectables

How to unlock: Completed 1 Survey Drone, 1 Black Box, 1 Relic Ruin, 1 Vista Point, and 1 Signal Tower.

Trophy type: bronze

Comment: This trophy is easy, as it simply requires you to find a single collectible of each type. You don't need to find all the secrets. You'll find the collectibles while travelling through the game world:

  1. Survey drone - You must jump onto the drone from above and pull it down to the ground.
  2. Black Box - You must find the box using your Focus and take it.
  3. Relic ruins - You must solve the puzzles in the ruins to find an ornament.
  4. Vista Point - You must position yourself correctly and match a hologram with the background.
  5. Signal Tower - You must climb to the top of the tower and acquire the lens.

Used Dye Flowers

You must find a Dyer out in the game world - there's one in the Plainsong settlement. Once you do, spend some flowers to dye any of your outfits.
