Hogwarts Legacy: The Hall of Herodiana Hogwarts Legacy guide
The Hall of Herodiana is one of the side quests in the game Hogwarts Legacy. We explain how to unlock the side quest in Hogwarts, as well as how to solve all the Depulso puzzles.

On this page of our guide, we explain how to initiate and complete The Hall of Herodiana side quest. We show all possible variants of the puzzles so you can reach all of the loot chests. Many of the puzzles require the Depulso spell to solve - you'll need it for the quest. To learn it, you need to complete Professor Sharp Assignment I.
Unlocking the quest
To start the quest, you need to talk to Sophronia Franklin - you can find her in the area shown in the screenshot above.
Rewards for completing the quest
- XP;
- Random clothing items (from optional loot chests);
- New Appearance items from the Herodiana set - Herodiana's Cap, Herodiana's Cape, and Herodiana's Attire. Once obtained, they can be found and equipped in Outfit tab of the menu.
First puzzle
Approach the location marked on your minimap and use Depulso on the wall shown in the screenshot above to open the path to Herodiana's Hall.
Stand in the area shown in the screenshot above and use Depulso to move the element to the wall.
Then place yourself as shown above i.e. facing the entrance to the chamber. Push the element forward.
Climb the element to reach the chest and collect the random item.
Reset the puzzle by shooting the suspended glowing element on the left. Once the elements are back in place, use Depulso to push the block forward and climb to the exit of this chamber.
The chest ahead contains Herodiana's Cape.
Second puzzle
Start by using Depulso on the element shown in the screenshot above to push it toward the entrance.
Look around the other side of the room and you should notice two elements wedged between stone blocks. Use Accio to move them to the other wall.
The next step is to use Accio on elements shown in the screenshot above to move them to the right.
Once again use Accio to move the elements to the right wall.
Turn towards the levitating element and use Accio to move it to the other side of the room.
Use Accio on the same element again to move it to the other side of the room and make it connect with the second element.
Continue by using Accio to push all elements to the other side.
Place yourself more or less in the area shown in the screenshot above and use Accio to send all elements toward the entrance to the chamber.
Climb up and reach the chest - open it to collect a random clothing item.
Get back down on the ground, stand more or less in the area shown in the screenshot above, and use Accio to move the elements toward the exit from this chamber.
Climb up and collect the second reward - Herodiana's Attire.
Third puzzle
Approach the moving element and use Depulso to push the blocks to the other side of the room.
Place yourself more or less in the area shown in the screenshot above and use Depulso to move the element to the wall on the right.
Now use Accio to move the element to the area with the puzzle resetting mechanism.
Use Accio again to move the element to the opposite wall.
Use Accio to move the element to the entrance to the chamber.
Place yourself in such a way to be able to push the element (Depulso) to the opposite wall (to the chest). Look around from this location so you have the chamber entrance on your left.
Reach the chest, collect the random loot and return to the first level of the chamber.
Use Basic Cast to restart the puzzle.
Now use Accio to move the element to the right side wall.
Use Depulso on the same element to push it forward.
Go to the left side of the room and climb the platform near the wall. Now use Accio to move the element to the opposite wall.
Jump over, move to the stationary element and restart the puzzle.
Use Accio on the element to move it to the other side of the room.
Use Accio again to create a path to the exit.
The chest contains the final item of the set, Herodiana's Cap. Return to Sophronia and inform her that you've managed to complete the quest.
