This page of the guide to Hogwarts Legacy has a walkthrough for the Beasts Class main quest. You will learn how to use a brush for combing animals and give them Beast Feed, as well as how to make friends with the Highwing Hippogriff.

Rewards for completing the quest

- Beast Petting Brush and Beast Feed unlocked - with them you can take care of tamed animals.
Go to Beasts class
To be able to start this quest, your hero needs to be on level 13. The Beasts class will take place in the courtyard in front of the castle. If necessary, wait in the circle for the correct hour.
Brush the Puffskein
You will unlock the Beast Petting Brush. You need to open the quick spell menu and put it in one of the slots. Then activate it in the same way you cast spells (R2/RT + brush button).
Feed the Puffskein
This time you will unlock Beast Feed and, as before, you have to assign it to one of the slots. Use the feed while facing the animal.
Brush and feed the Kneazles
After watching the cut-scene of chasing away the students, use the brush and the feed again. Use them on the creature from the pen.
After completing both actions, talk to Professor Howin - you can comment on your first contact with the animals.
Go with Poppy
Talk to Poppy and follow her to the small hill. You will meet a female Hippogriff.
You have to bow - move the right analog stick down.
Brush and feed Highwing
Use the brush to comb the animals and feed them.
After the meeting, talk to Poppy and choose any answers. The quest is now complete.
