Rewards for completing the quest
- XP;
- unlocking your own Wand and the ability to install Wand Handles - they are treated as cosmetic items;
- unlocking the Ancient Magic Throw spell - it enables you to magically pick up objects and throw them at enemies;
- unlocking the Ancient Magic spell - it is a strong special attack that can be activated after charging the blue bar;
- gathering supplies from stores - the robe will be available immediately, you will use the others in various future quests;
- unlocking The Locket's Secret main quest.
Meet Sebastian near the entrance to Hogwarts
You can start this quest only after completing Professor Ronen's Assignment, i.e. after unlocking the Reparo spell.
Meet with the companion you selected in the previous main quest (Sebastian or Natsai). Travel to Hogsmeade together - stick to the main paths. You shouldn't encounter monsters along the way.
While traveling, don't stray too far from your ally. You can fail the mission if you ignore the prompt to return to your companion for too long.
Visit Tomes and Scrolls
Once you reach Hogsmeade, you can complete the mission objectives in any order. You have to complete them all to unlock the next part of the quest. The game will include a tutorial on how to use the map. As you hover over the icons you can read, for example, the names of shops and buildings.
The shop you're looking for is in the south-western part of Hogsmeade. Meet the shop owner - Thomas Brown.
You can pick up your ordered supplies for free . Optionally, you can also view the list of offered goods and sell items from your inventory.
In Hogwarts Legacy , the inventory has a limited capacity (initially 20 slots for equipment). You should regularly sell unwanted items. You can sell items to any merchants and they will all offer the same prices.
Visit Ollivanders - new wand
The shop is in the central part of Hogsmeade. Once you get there, try ringing the bell and the owner - Gerbold Ollivander - will appear.
The purpose of visiting the store is to pick up a new wand tailored specifically to the protagonist. You can influence the wand's default appearance and properties.
From now on, you can also select Wand Handles in the Equipment tab and treat them as cosmetic changes.
Visit J. Pippin's Potions
The shop is located in the western part of Hogsmeade. Meet with its owner - Parry Pippin .
You can pick up two recipes for making potions for free. Optionally, you can also view the list of offered goods (other recipes, ingredients and ready-made potions), as well as sell items from your inventory.
Visit The Magic Neep
The shop is in the north-west of Hogsmeade, across the river. Meet with the merchant - Timothy Teasdale.

Defend Hogsmeade - a duel with the Armoured Troll
After visiting all the shops , meet with your companion in the town center. After the cutscenes, big trolls will appear.
You have to fight the Armored Troll. During the fight, react to the red circles - you have to dodge to avoid being hit by the charging boss. The troll should collide with some obstacle and will be an easy target for a short time - cast attack spells.
During combat, you will automatically unlock Ancient Magic Throw. The throw button icon (R1/RB on the gamepad) may appear next to the objects in the environment - quickly press the right key to grab these objects from a distance and throw them at the troll. They can deal a lot of damage.
After depleting the troll's entire energy bar, you must finish him off. You can test the Ancient Magic special attack (L1 R1 / LB RB on a pad) for the first time. It deals a lot of damage.
Later in the game, you need to charge the Ancient Magic bar to be able to activate it - it will be visible in the lower left corner of the screen.
Repair the damages
You must use the Reparo spell on destroyed objects (stalls, statues, etc.) in the area marked with a purple circle on the mini-map.
If necessary, try to activate Reparo "blindly" - there is a chance that the hero will automatically use the spell on the nearest damaged object without having to aim at it.
Talk to the Shopkeeper
Visit Gladrags Wizardwear shop, which is located in the central part of the town. It's owned by Augustus Hill.
You can pick up your first robe for free, which can increase your character's stats when worn (tutorial on putting clothes into inventory slots). In addition, you can buy other items of clothing and sell unwanted items.
Follow the companion to the Three Broomsticks
Shortly after heading towards the pub, you will get a chance to watch some cutscenes. Then, the night will come. Leave the pub and talk to your companion.
You must return to Hogwarts using fast travel - go to the Hogwarts tab and select the Common Room of your house. This completes the quest.
