Mad Jack | Heavy Rain Walkthrough Heavy Rain HD Guide

This page of our guide to Heavy Rain describes the Mad Jack scene. At this stage, Norman Jayden visits the junkyard to question a suspect named Oddball. The life of the controlled character is in danger. The good news is that you will be able to get a new trophy.

Important: This chapter contains a fight which you can easily lose. If you do so, Norman will die. If Norman dies:

1. His plotline is cut and the only ending available for him will be [Uploaded];
2. Endings [Case Closed], [Resignation], [Smoking Mirror] will become blocked;
3. Chapters [Aquarium], [Solving the Puzzle] won't appear;
4. Norman will not reach the [Old Warehouse].

Walk towards the machine and call the worker

Walk to the yellow bulldozer and call Mad Jack. He's a real saint. Follow him to the workshop and tell him what you came here for. Mad Jack won't be very pleased and won't cooperate, he will just return to his yellow toy.

Search the room - the more important clues, the easier it will be to determine the location of the killer

Put on the ARI and examine the whole area with the use of ARI. You can find some familiar pollen near the big hook, many footprints and also some well known tire tracks. Speaking of the cars - look behind a hook and you will find some paint. Move towards exit and you will find two footprints and some blood. Blood? Look into the acid pool that is located at the entrance (the concrete pool).

Additional Note - try to locate and identify all tracks in the area to get the Nerd trophy.

You are in a bad situation - with a big, armored strong thug that has behind you. Fortunately, not everything is lost yet. When Mad Jack will be leading you, attack him. It's another large QTE. If you miss the buttons too many times - you will die. But if you succeed, you will be on the top and you can gain some info from the opponent (be aggressive). When Norman will begin the arrest, the drugs problems come out again.

You can quickly take a dose of the strong drug (QTE). If you manage to do it fast enough, you will cuff the guy and bring him to your car with no further trouble...

Escape from Mad Jack

Alternatively, you may have given up taking drugs (or may have screwed up the QTE scene despite your willingness to do so) and arresting of Oddball will fail. You will still have one last chance to save Norman. You will find yourself in a car that is about to get smashed. In order to free yourself you must look to the right and open the passenger locker. Inside you will find another gun. Shot the handcuffs. Now you must quickly exit the car in order to avoid being smashed.

Now is the hardest part. You will have another fight with Mad Jack. It's really easy to die during this one. And you don't want that. In addition to typical button tapping, you will also have to move the whole pad a lot - don't let it take you by surprise. The fight will be hard and when it will look like you have lost, Mad Jack will suddenly die. If you survive, you will receive the Goodbye Mad Jack trophy.
