Mystic Forge | Crafting Guild Wars 2 Guide

In the center of Mystic Plaza in Lion's Arch, you can find a weird construction called the Mystic Forge. Genie Zommoros, imprisoned inside, will give you items if you give him a sacrifice. Next to it is Miyani: she sells recipes for money and mystic items (required to use the forge) in return for skill points (every character has an unlimited access to them, because after reaching the 80th level, every 240 000 XP gives you one skill point).

Using the forge is similar to the discovery bookmark with one difference: it requires four various ingredients. Depending on your components, you may receive a random item or something according to the recipe.

Because you may combine items in hundreds way and most of combinations hasn't been discovered yet, I can't give her a full list. Nevertheless, you can find few useful fusions below:

+1 level to material's tier

It let you increase a level of the resource (e.g. platinum to mithril). This combination is used, when you have a surplus of common materials.

10-50x material B:

• 250x material A, which you want to upgrade
• 1x material B, which you want to obtain
• 2-5x dust, its level has to be the same as the material's B
• 2-5x philosopher's stone, you can buy it at Miyani's

Example:

10-50x Orichalcum Ore:

• 250x Mithril Ore
• 1x Orichalcum Ore
• 5x Pile of Crystalline Dust
• 5x Philosopher's Stone

Upgrading iron to platinum.

+1 level to the high quality material's tier

As in the previous example, use when you want to get a better material from the worse one.

5-10x material B:

• 50x material A, which you want to upgrade
• 1x material B, which you want to obtain
• 2-5x dust, its level has to be the same as the material's B
• 2-5x philosopher's stone, you can buy it at Miyani's

Example:

5-10x Claw:

• 50x Small Claw
• 1x Claw
• 5x Pile of Radiant Dust
• 5x Philosopher's Stone

Recipes for packs and boxes of armor

Those containers have all armor's elements required to craft one, full set. Forge let you create proper plans, which are used by tailor, leatherworker or armorsmith.

Recipe:

• 5x Bottle of Elonian Wine (at Miyani's)
• 20x Arcane Crystal (reward for PvP)
• 20x Mystic Coin (reward for daily/monthly quests)
• 1x element of armor (from the set you want to craft)

Mystic Weapon

It's a recipe for the exotic weapon of 80th level.

Mystic Weapon:

• 30x Mystic Coin (reward for daily/monthly quests)
• 1x Eldricht Scroll (at Miyani's)
• 5x 6th leveled component A (e.g. Orichalcum Pistol Barrel)
• 5x 6th leveled component B (e.g. Ancient Pistol Frame)
