Combat is one of the important gameplay mechanics available in Graveyard Keeper. You can face bats, slimes and other creatures. Monsters drop various resources that can be used in upgrading your tools or creating potions.
Where can I get a sword?
A sword is in your inventory right from the beginning of the game. However, you must visit the Blacksmith first and sharpen it with a Grindstone in order to be able to use it. More swords can be bought from the Blacksmith.
How to fight with monsters?
Check if you have the sword equipped. Open the inventory and see if the sword has an icon next to it (the same as in the picture above).
Press Space to attack an enemy. Remember that every swing with your sword costs you 2 energy points. This mechanic forces you to think whether you can go for another swing or retreat.
Dishes are a great way of restoring energy. You can either buy them in The Dead Horse or you can make them yourself. Higher quality ingredients allow you to make better meals.
