Last update: 04 April 2022

On this page of the Gran Turismo 7 guide you'll find a description of one of the money-making techniques available in the game. We advise you on how to grind at the High Speed Ring, a track awarding up to 52,500 credits for a single race.

This page has been updated to reflect the payout changes for selected races that occured in patch 1.08. High Speed Ring's rewards were since reduced, but it's still one of the better methods of earning money.

Grinding the High Speed Ring for credits

This race has several specific requirements - Gran Turismo 7: Grinding and earning credits - High Speed Ring - Earning credits - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This race has several specific requirements:

  1. You must be using any vehicle from the Gr.4 category.
  2. Your vehicle needs racing tires, in any combination.
  3. The PP cap is 630. If you own a vehicle with higher PP you can use the techniques described on the PP - how to lower? page and reduce it enough to meet the requirements.

We, personally, used a Ford Mustang Gr.4 to win the race.

This method's main advantage is that the High Speed Ring is a short and easy track - Gran Turismo 7: Grinding and earning credits - High Speed Ring - Earning credits - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This method's main advantage is that the High Speed Ring is a short and easy track. It doesn't feature many turns and thus can be learned easily. Watch out for the turns forcing you to go down to Gear 2-3. In case of other turns focus on maintaining the perfect route and not slow down unnecessarily.

Avoid colliding with other cars to get the clean race bonus. Don't make any aggressive manouvers and wait patiently for good overtaking opportunities. The race has 5 laps so you have more than enough time to take the lead.

The race should last around 6:30 - 6:40 - Gran Turismo 7: Grinding and earning credits - High Speed Ring - Earning credits - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

The race should last around 6:30 - 6:40. The base payout for winning the race is 35,000 credits but with the clean driving and no collision bonus you can get up to 52,500 credits. You can diversify the race by choosing different Gr.4 cars, but they can be more difficult to handle or slower, making the race more difficult.
