This page of the Gran Turismo 7 game guide contains the second part of the career mode walkthrough. We're specifically including the descriptions of Menus 11 - 20. You'll learn about the available chapters and the unique rewards (vehicles, tracks, new options in the main menus) obtainable by taking care of Menus 11-20.

Menu 11: Collection: French Hot Hatches

In this chapter, you will have to participate in 3 races during which you will complete the French Hot Hatches - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

In this chapter, you will have to participate in 3 races during which you will complete the French Hot Hatches. These are:

  1. DS Automobiles DS 3 Racing '11
  2. Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport '14
  3. Renault Clio RS 220 Trophy '16

Renault Clio RS was already unlockable earlier by obtaining at least bronze in all B license trials. You can still try to unlock it again in order to gain some Collector XP.

The races take place on the Deep Forest Raceway, Brands Hatch and Sardegna - Road Track. They have 500 recommended PP, so purchasing some new parts could be helpful. There's no max PP limit at play though, so you can upgrade your car beyond that to make the races easier.

Menu 11 rewards:

  1. Free cars from the collection - DS Automobiles DS 3 Racing '11, Peugeot 208 GTi by Peugeot Sport '14, Renault Clio RS, 220 Trophy '16.
  2. Roulette Ticket.

Menu 12: Championship: Petite Course de France

In this chapter you must enter a championship consisting of two races - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

In this chapter you must enter a championship consisting of two races:

  1. Alsace - Village
  2. Alsace - Village Reverse

Recommended PP is 500 and the championship requires you to use a car originating from France. It's best to just pick one of the cars obtained from the previous menu and tune it to at least 500 points (there is no upper limit). The Alsace track can be challenging if you don't know it well. Be especially careful during sections with significant height differences and "blind corners" - memorize them so you can know in advance when to hit the brakes.

As usual, you must finish the championship in at least third place (the sum of points from the first and second race). The prize for 1st place in the championship is 30,000 credits. The game will also let you to draw a car from the following pool:

  1. Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 - if you draw a different car you'll have another opportunity to get the Camaro in menu 15.
  2. Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (C3) '69 - If you draw a different car you'll have another opportunity to get the Corvette in menu 27.
  3. Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71 - If you draw a different car you'll have another opportunity to get the Mustang in menu 14.

Menu 12 rewards:

  1. Unlocking Missions on the world map - challenges with various requirements and unique rewards.
  2. Free random car - Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69, Chevrolet Corvette Convertible (C3) '69 or Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71.

Menu 13: Try Your Hand at a Mission

This menu will teach you about the missions selectable from the world map - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This menu will teach you about the missions selectable from the world map. You must choose the first category - Magic Mountain (you unlock the subsequent mission categories with their own unique challenges and rewards by increasing your collector rank).

Select The Pass challenge off the list - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Select The Pass challenge off the list. It's pretty simple, requiring you to overtake much slower cars without colliding with them and without leaving the track. You must beat this challenge with a Nissan 180SX Type X '96. To progress with your career you must obtain bronze at least, that is, reach the finish line in at least 3rd place. Driving flawlessly should let you take the lead shortly before the finish line, granting you gold. Try to balance not taking unnecessary risks and efficiently overtaking the slow AI.

After completing the required challenge you may also take interest in other challenges from the same category. Completing them all rewards you with the Volkswagen Sambabus Type 2 '62 (obtaining at least bronze in all challenges) and the Jeep Willys MB '45 (obtaining gold in all challenges).

  1. Unlocking the Blue Moon Bay Speedway, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and Willow Springs International Raceway tracks.

Menu 14: Collection: Mustang

There are three races in this chapter which require you to collect three different generations of the Ford Mustang - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

There are three races in this chapter which require you to collect three different generations of the Ford Mustang. The models you must obtain are:

  1. Ford Mustang Boss 429 '69
  2. Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71 - This car was available earlier as a random draw in Menu 12. If you already got it back then you can ignore it or obtain it again for more Collector XP.
  3. Ford Mustang GT '15

The races are held at Blue Moon Bay Speedway, Laguna Seca Raceway and Willow Springs International Raceway. Their recommended PP is 550. If you want to use the newly obtained cars right away you should unlock the Mustang GT '15 first, as its PP is the highest.

Blue Moon Bay may be problematic due to losing traction on fast curves. There are several solutions to this problem - you can use a car more stable when passing corners (such as the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1) or slow down a little and not turn too hard when cornering.

Menu 14 rewards:

  1. Unlocking the Daytona International Speedway track.
  2. Free cars from the collection - Ford Mustang Boss 429 '69, Ford Mustang Mach 1 '71, Ford Mustang GT '15.

Menu 15: Collection: Camaro

This chapter is very similar to the previous menu, except this time you must assemble a collection of three different Chevrolet Camaro generations - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This chapter is very similar to the previous menu, except this time you must assemble a collection of three different Chevrolet Camaro generations. The models in question are:

  1. Chevrolet Camaro SS '16
  2. Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69 - This car was available earlier as a random draw in Menu 12. If you already got it back then you can ignore it or obtain it again for more Collector XP.
  3. Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Package '18

The races are held at Blue Moon Bay Speedway, Daytona International Speedway and Willow Springs International Raceway. Recommended PP is 600. Try to upgrade one of the cars you obtained earlier to at least meet the recommendation. You should also play the race offering the Camaro ZL1 first - it's an amazing car even without any tuning and can be easily upgraded over the recommended 600 PP (once again, there's no upper limit here). Camaro ZL1 is also much better on ovals than the Mustang GT from the previous menu.

Menu 15 rewards:

  1. Free cars from the collection - Chevrolet Camaro SS '16, Chevrolet Camaro Z28 '69, Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Package '18.

Menu 16: Take a Photo of Your Car in Scapes

This chapter of the campaign doesn't require racing - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This chapter of the campaign doesn't require racing. It tasks you with taking a photo in the Scapes mode, selectable from the world map. After entering Scapes mode select any location / landscape, then place one or more vehicles from your collection in the frame. You can also play around with the photo settings (focus, filters, vehicle positioning) but they don't affect the task in any way.

Finally take the photo to save it to your disk. The game will suggest sharing it with the community and/or your friends, but this is once again completely optional.

Menu 16 rewards:

  1. Unlocking the Trial Mountain Circuit track.

Menu 17: Championship: Trial Mountain Cup

Chapter 17 of the campaign has an important limitation - you can't enter the championship without a National A license - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Chapter 17 of the campaign has an important limitation - you can't enter the championship without a National A license. Consequently, you have to complete all the A license challenges - from A-1 to A-10. All you need to do is earn bronze in these challenges, but if you manage to get gold, you will be rewarded with a bonus car.

We have described all of the National A license challenges on the Licenses B and A page.

To complete Menu 17 you must enter a championship comprised out of two races - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

To complete Menu 17 you must enter a championship comprised out of two races:

  1. Trial Mountain Circuit
  2. Trial Mountain Circuit Reverse

Recommended PP is 600 and the championship requires you to use a car originating from USA. In our opinion, the best vehicle for this championship is the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE Package '18 obtainable in Menu 15. It's relatively easy to drive despite its enormous power and it can be upgraded well over the recommended 600 points.

Like during previous championships, you must finish it in 3rd place or higher (the game adds up points from both the races) - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

Like during previous championships, you must finish it in 3rd place or higher (the game adds up points from both the races). The prize for 1st place in the championship is 40,000 credits. The game will also let you to draw a car from the following pool:

  1. Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90
  2. Nissan 180SX Type X '96
  3. Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TT 2seater '89

You should know that this is the only opportunity to get these cars during the career mode and they don't appear again in subsequent menus. You'll have to find the two cars you didn't draw at used car dealerships to add them to your collection.

Menu 17 rewards:

  1. Unlocking Legend Cars on the world map - this location lets you purchase very rare vehicles, with the available cars and their prices constantly fluctuating.
  2. Unlocking the Fuji International Speedway and Autopolis tracks .
  3. Free random car - Nissan Silvia K's Dia Selection (S13) '90, Nissan 180SX Type X '96 or Nissan Fairlady Z 300ZX TT 2seater '89.

Menu 18: Collection: Nissan Sports Cars

There are three races in this chapter which require you to collect three different Nissan sports models - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

There are three races in this chapter which require you to collect three different Nissan sports models. These are:

  1. Nissan Silvia spec-R Aero (S15) '02
  2. Nissan R32 GT-R V-spec II '94
  3. Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07

The races are held at Fuji International Speedway, Autopolis and Tokyo Expressway. Recommended PP is 550. To prepare for the competition you can upgrade a car obtained from the previous championship or other compatible car from your collection. Regarding the new cars, the R32 GT-R is the best of the bunch and you should consider unlocking it first so that you can use it in the next two races.

During this chapter you're faced with two handicaps. The first is the fact the races take place partially at night. This means it's easy to miss a corner or struggle with limited visibility, so try to familiarize yourself with the tracks in question.

The second handicap, long rainfall, is more significant - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

The second handicap, long rainfall, is more significant. There are several ways to solve the problem:

  1. Select a 4WD car or increase the assist level (especially traction control).
  2. Use the gas pedal more carefully to prevent the car from skidding.
  3. Purchase and install rain tires - Heavy Wet or Intermediate. You'll find then in the Extreme tab of the tuning shop (pictured above). Once you buy them they'll be installed automatically, unfortunately lowering your PP. You'll find more information about these tires on the Rain tires - how to install? page in the FAQ section of the guide.

Menu 18 rewards:

  1. Unlocking the Mount Panorama Circuit and Kyoto Driving Park tracks.
  2. Free cars from the collection - Nissan Silvia spec-R Aero (S15) '02, Nissan R32 GT-R V-spec II '94, Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (Z33) '07.

Menu 19: Collection: Collection: Japanese Rally Base Cars

This is yet another chapter containing three races, tasking you with collecting three Japanese rally cars - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This is yet another chapter containing three races, tasking you with collecting three Japanese rally cars. These are:

  1. Subaru WRX STI Type S '14
  2. Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final '15
  3. Toyota GR Yaris RZ "High performance" '20

Recommended PP is 600. We suggest using the Nissan R32 GT-R in at least once of the races, as it also has a 4WD drive. You can then continue using it or switch to one of the newly unlocked machines.

Menu 19 rewards:

  1. Free cars from the collection - Subaru WRX STI Type S '14, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final '15 or Toyota GR Yaris RZ "High performance" '20.

Menu 20: Show Your Custom Wing

This menu isn't directly related to racing - Gran Turismo 7: Career mode - Chapters / Menus 11-20 - Career - Gran Turismo 7 Guide

This menu isn't directly related to racing. You can choose any car from your collection - pictured above is the Chevrolet Camaro SS '16. Choose the GT Auto option in the main menu, then select Customise Cars.

Go to the Custom Parts section, then Wings. Choose Custom Wing Set and any pattern available. The pattern doesn't matter for the chapter completion. Still, you should remember that installing new spoilers and other visual elements may affect the car's PP and its handling. The changes aren't just cosmetic.

Menu 20 rewards:

  1. Roulette Ticket
