This guide concerns the fight that takes place in the campaign's prologue and explains which attacks the troll may use against you and how to weaken the enemy by using a step-by-step approach.
Later in the game you will confront other trolls. The general combat pattern and troll attacks will remain unchanged.
- The troll at the very beginning of the adventure is a fairly easy opponent to defeat. However, launching attacks blindly can still lead to a quick defeat, even when playing on normal difficulty.
- Troll is a slow but strong monster. It is best to keep a safe distance from the monster, allow it to attack and whenever it becomes vulnerable - strike back.
- This duel can also be a good test of dodging. Dodges are perfect for avoiding the monster's attacks, which can deal a lot of damage if you get hit.
- While being at a safe distance, Kratos can throw the axe. It is also possible to order Atreus to shoot his bow and weaken the boss a bit.
- In case you get hurt more, it's a good idea to look for the green crystal and stand on it, which will recover the main character's health a bit.
