The Crucible in Muspelheim serves as, among other things, the location of combat trials in God of War Ragnarok. This page of the guide lists the collectibles and side activities available in The Crucible - these are Nornir Chests, Nine Realms in Bloom, Crucible Challenges and Defend Your Valor, during which you'll face Gna, the Valkyrie Queen. Collecting and completing all of these secrets will allow you to attain 100% completion of The Crucible.

There are following collectibles and side activities to find and complete in The Crucible region of Muspelheim:

1. 1x Nornir Chest;
2. 1x Nine Realms in Bloom;
3. 15x Crucible Challenges;
4. 1x Defend Your Valour - optional duel against Gna, the Valkyrie Queen.

Crucible Challenges

This is a unique activity exclusive to the Crucible. There are huge swords scattered throughout the area - interacting with them lets you choose and start combat challenges.

There are six challenges available at first, with more being unlocked upon finishing them. In order to fully complete everything the area has to offer, you must pass all fifteen challenges.

Nornir Chest

This chest is located in the large open space next to the mystic gateway and the dwarven shop. This time you don't need to solve any puzzles to open it. The chest unlocks once you complete six Crucible Challenges.

Nine Realms in Bloom

In The Crucible, you can find 1 of the 9 flowers required to complete the favor of the same name.

This collectible is quite to find - the flower is located next to the shop and the mystic gateway, so you can grab it right after arriving to the Crucible.

Defend Your Valour - Gna, the Valkyrie Queen

You can only encounter the Valkyrie Queen after finishing the main storyline. Return to the Crucible and explore the area east of the shop. In the place pictured above you can go underneath the rocks. Then jump over the interactive ledges.

You'll eventually reach Gna's arena. She's an extremely powerful level 9 optional boss, so you shouldn't face her until you fully develop Kratos (upgrade his weapons and armor, preferably to the level cap). If it turns out you haven't prepared enough or you lose, you can always back off and face Gna later.
