Unlocking the quest
To unlock this quest you must cleanse the Onten Shrine during Chapter 4 of the campaign. A quest marker should automatically appear on the map.
The quest giver is the Worker.
Investigate the construction site
The game should mark the construction site area on your map with a green circle. You'll face some Visitors while exploring it, many of which can be dealt with quietly with quick purging or bow headshots.
While exploring the construction site look for the lower area you can jump down to. You'll find the Memorial Stone there, although you'll need to eliminate the nearby enemies.
Trying to examine the stone will summon the Lord's Specter. You'll be moved to another area, although only for a short while.
Investigate the manor
Akito will end up in an old samurai manor. The way forward is linear and doesn't hide any unique collectibles, so you don't necessarily need to explore here. Try to replenish your ether if possible.
On your way you can talk to the spirit of one of the servants. Your destination is the courtyard, where a Shiromuku - a huge, elite Visitor - will spawn.
All of Shiromuku's attacks and skills use the ice element. It can attack you from a distance or immobilize you (stay away from his AoE moves).
Move constantly, keep a safe distance and remember to block. Strong elemental fire and water attacks should quickly expose Shiromuku's core, letting you rip it out.
Purge the lord's specter
You'll return to the memorial stone at the construction site. To finish the quest remove the hand seal and purge the specter.
