Search the apartment
In the KK's apartment you can find a lot of interactive items, including secrets, food and dog food. There are a few crucial items.
Interacting with the projector will display a large slide on the wall. This will also trigger a conversation between Akito and KK.
Picking up KK's Investigation Notes will reward you with 20 free Skill Points that you can use to purchase one or two skills of your choice. You can also find similar types of collectibles later in the game. Collecting other KK's notes will also be rewarded with Skill Points.
Opening a wide suitcase is rewarded with a bow. From now on, you can switch between the bow and the powers you have (on PS5, click the arrow down).
Finally, check out the framed photo in front of the monitors. This will trigger another cutscene with a conversation with KK.
Find and destroy the barrier's source
Leave the apartment. You will learn that the entire apartment block has been surrounded by a barrier. The new mission objective has a time limit - you need to turn off the barrier in less than 7 minutes. Fortunately, this is enough time to complete all the steps.
Head towards the outer staircase and go upstairs. On your way, you will encounter the first Barrier Stone. Use a melee attack to destroy it.
Destroying the first barrier will unlock access to a new floor. Explore the new apartment located directly above the KK's apartment.
The passage through the apartment is linear and you can ignore all image distortions and the changing appearance of the rooms because these do not pose any danger to you. In the bedroom you will find bow arrows and an interactive wardrobe. After you move it away, you will notice the second barrier in the distance. You have to select a bow from your inventory and hit the Barrier Stone - remember to aim a little higher due to the long distance. Fortunately, if you miss, you can repeat the shot immediately.
Leave the apartment and use the stairs again to get to the upper floor. There is one more apartment to explore.
In the third apartment, there is a linear path to be followed again. In several places, you will have to crouch. Additionally, in the place shown in the picture, you need to climb the higher levitating furniture and reach the opening in the wall.
You will come across a Corruption and a contaminated structure in the shape of a tree. You can avoid it by crouching. Reach the bedroom and check the wardrobe again. You will find a core there that needs to be destroyed with a melee attack. This will stop the time counter.
Use your Spectral Vision to search the area
You can leave the apartment now. You will receive an updated mission objective to find the barrier's source, but luckily you don't have to race against time anymore.
Go downstairs to look around the apartment block. You must go to the large blue sphere. The game will inform you about unlocking the mechanics of Spectral Vision, which is used to scan the environment for clues, as well as enemies and interactive objects.
Follow the trail
Turning on Spectral Vision near the sphere will make the traces of an unknown figure appear and you can start following them. It will fade away after a while, but you can re-activate Spectral Vision to "refresh" the trail. In case of losing the trail, you can also return to the last found sphere, which is always marked on the map.
Find a way to purge the corruption
You will reach a great tree contaminated by corruption. Activate Spectral Vision to discover the heart of corruption shown in the picture above. Use the bow again to hit it and destroy it.
Use Spectral Vision again to scan the area and search it. A cutscene will trigger, ending this mission.
