Basic information about the hero's appearance
There is no character creator in Ghostwire Tokyo. Akito is a predetermined protagonist. It is not possible to change the main character's gender, face or hairstyle.
The only way to change the look is to use the costumes. These can be full outfits or individual items of clothing, such as various types of headwear, glasses, T-shirts and jackets, pants and shoes. In the case of some outfits, you can also change their color. You unlock the option to change your outfit in chapter 2. A tab dedicated to them will appear in your inventory.
The outfits are cosmetic - they do not change the hero's stats. Your current outfit appears in cut-scenes - you won't see them only in the outfits menu.
Obtaining all available outfits will unlock the Trendsetter gold trophy. Unfortunately, it is quite time-consuming, although the good news is that it does not require DLC outfits (we mention them at the bottom of the page).
Getting new clothes
There are two ways to get new outfits. The first is buying them from traders. They can be offered by some necomatas (cat merchants) and cost from several hundred to even tens of thousands of gold.
The second way to obtain outfits is to receive them as quests rewards. Not all missions will give you them. Information on whether a give mission rewards you with clothes can be found in the mission description.
Free outfits - pre-order and Deluxe Edition
There are also DLC outfits:
- The Deluxe Edition comes with Streetwear and Shinobi outfit (along with the Kunai cosmetic weapon that replaces the bow).
- Pre-orders come with the Biker outfit and the Hannya outfit (making the hero resemble the antagonist).
