General information
Xiangling is a four-star character, one of the two characters you get for free (you must earn 20 AR and complete Floor 3, Chamber 3 in Spiral Abyss). She fights with a Polearm.
Xiangling is very versatile - you can have her as a Sub DPS, or as a Support that will help others in battle using your Elemental Skill and Burst. In the case of a DPS build, it is worth focusing on ATK, CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate and Pyro DMG. As for a Support, it is important to get a minimum of 150% Energy Recharge and Pyro DMG.

Pyro Sub DPS Build
When thinking of Xiangling as a Sub DPS, you should focus on increasing Pyro DMG and overal ATK. CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG should also be high.
- Artifacts - 2x Crimson Witch of Flames and 2x Gladiator's Finale
- Weapons - Staff of Homa/Deathmatch/Dragon's Bane
If you are looking for useful artifact sets for Xiangling, you can experiment with them at will. For example, 2 parts of the Crimson Witch of Flames set will give you 15% bonus Pyro DMG which is very useful to this character. By adding 2x Gladiator's Finale set, you'll boost Xiangling's ATK by 18%, which is very important for a character who focuses on dealing damage. When making a Xiangling build focused on DPS, choose artifacts with stats like ATK%, Pyro DMG%, CRIT DMG.
When it comes to weapons, Xiangling can use a really large amount of Polearms. One of the better choices would be Staff of Homa. However, due to the rarity, which is 5 stars, this weapon will not be an easy choice. Staff of Homa increases base ATK and CRIT DMG, which is very useful for Xiangling. What's more, it increases HP by 20%, giving 0.8% ATK Bonus depending on max HP. If the character's health is less than 50%, the ATK Bonus increases by 1% of MAX HP.
Deathmatch is another good weapon for Xiangling. Outside the base ATK, it also increases CRIT Rate. The weapon's skill increases ATK by 24% if you fight against one opponent. In contrast, if you fight more than one opponent, your ATK only increases by 16%, although your DEF also increases by the same amount (the conversion rate is greater at higher Refinement levels). In addition, the weapon is much easier to obtain compared to the Staff of Homa.
Dragon's Bane is another weapon perfect for Xiangling, as it increases Elemental Mastery, which in itself increases the DMG from reactions such as Vaporize, Overload and more. It also increases damage by 20% if the opponent is under the influence of Hydro or Pyro. Xiangling with her Elemental Burst is able to inflict Pyro very often. You should also have Xingqiu in your party to often inflict Hydro using Elemental Burst.
Elemental Burst Support
Xiangling is excellent when it comes to potential Elemental Burst damage. Therefore, it is worth thinking about her as a Support, whose main task will be to use Elemental Burst as often as possible. Energy Recharge (minimum 150%) and Pyro DMG are very important.

- Weapons - "The Catch"/Engulfing Lightning
If you want to use Elemental Burst as often as possible, you need a lot of Energy Recharge. Emblem of Severed Fate is an ideal set of artifacts, because it grants 20% Energy Recharge and increases Elemental Burst damage, depending on how much ER you have, up to a maximum of 75%. Adding in the two weapons, which also increase the ER, the damage resulting from the activation of Elemental Burst will be very high.
When it comes to weapons, a much better choice would be "The Catch" - a four-star weapon. It boosts Elemental Burst DMG by 16% and increases the chance of Elemental Burst critical hits by 6%. Pyronado lasts a long time, hitting a lot of targets on its way, so this weapon is one of the best you can give Xiangling for this build. It also increases Energy Recharge, which works perfectly with Emblem of Severed Fate.
The second weapon, a five-star, is Engulfing Lightning. Like "The Catch", in addition to ATK, it also increases Energy Recharge. In addition, you increase damage depending on how much Energy Recharge you have. Moreover, by using Elemental Burst, you additionally increase ER by even more (30%-50%). However, this weapon is slightly weaker than the previous Polearm and, due to its rarity, can be harder to obtain.
Talents
Talents are abilities that each character in the game uses. In the case of Xiangling, you should expand them in the appropriate order:
- Sub DPS - Pyronado, Dough-Fu, Guoba Attack
- Elemental Burst Support - Pyronado, Guoba Attack
Elemental Burst deals very high damage and often inflicts Pyro on enemies, so you should focus on developing this skill first. Then you should focus on normal attacks (only in the case of Sub DPS). Elemental Skill should be last.
Constellations
Xiangling has very good constellations, so if you want to focus on developing this character, each of the subsequent constellations will strengthen her significantly - the more you have, the better.
C4 Xiangling will be a powerful reinforcement, because at the C4 level, Pyronado, that is Elemental Burst, lasts 40% longer and this is her most important skill. In addition, earlier constellations increase the maximum level of Pyronado, and in addition, opponents hit by Elemental Skill will have a reduced level of defense against Pyro DMG by 15%.
