In this chapter of the Gears Tactics guide, you will learn more about the Heavy class.
Despite the name, it is a fairly mobile class. It even has a skill that allows these characters to spend 3 action points on movement. However, the abilities of this class are based on dealing damage and fighting from one spot. The basic skill of this class helps with accuracy but from one position. Each shot fired from the same position gives the soldier the "anchored" effect, which increases accuracy and damage. It is best to occupy a bridge, balcony, or turret and attack enemies from that position. The Heavy class has the following 4 development paths:
- Specialist - the ability to change positions and get additional action points for defeating enemies in a row
- Artillery - the ability to inflict additional damage and shoot enemies several times
- Demolitionist - explosive shot and grenades
- Defender - supporting abilities such as pinning an opponent down
Explosive shot is one of the first skills you should get. If you kill an enemy with this ability, it will explode and deal damage to the surrounding units. It is ideal for fighting enemy units with a small amount of health points and for killing groups of enemies.
