Looking for clues about their relationship with the Swarm, Kait and Del enter the New Hope research facility. The research facility isn't safe - you will encounter a lot of enemies. You will also have to deal with additional obstacles and traps.

After reaching the gateway leading to the New Hope research facility, go inside through a small hole in the large gate.

You can resupply here. A small camp with weapons and ammunition is on the right. Go straight - you won't get lost.

Besides the harsh weather conditions, you also have to face an enemy with a machine weapon guarding the entrance to the research facility.

The enemy can be killed from a safe distance, or you can go around its position and attack from behind - the creature has problems with walking. Enter the New Hope research facility through the main gate.

A collectible lies on the table by the big door - A captured letter.

The door on the left leads to the toilet - there is a lot of ammo there. Go through the door on the right, and move along the narrow corridors between the walls. You will reach the next part of the location. Follow the road.

You will have to face a crystal guardian. His skin is completely insensitive to attacks, so you need to finish him in a different way. In the first stage of the fight, shoot the monster's helmet to knock it down. You can damage him - keep shooting the monster's head until he is dead. Despite its size, the monster is very agile and is able to charge or jump towards the target in a split second - attacking the target with two maces.

As soon as you open the door to the building on the right, you will get attacked by nimble and dangerous enemies approaching you from all sides. Pay special attention to the monsters that will charge from behind your back.

Go down the stairs. Ask Jack to open the safe - take the component. Exit the building and get on the street.

To continue your mission, you must pass through this gate. However, before you do that, make sure you have collected nearby ammunition. Once you go through the gate, you won't be able to go back.

Your faithful companion, Jack, must help you again. Use a protective shield to safely pass through a cloud of toxic gas.

You encounter an army of sleeping robots. Remember how you handled them at the hotel? You have to repeat that. If you want to eliminate them stealthily - approach them from behind and remove the battery.

The exit from this sector is in front of you. Be sure to use a protective shield before you enter the corridor.

Two sleeping robots, presented in the picture above, aren't the only threat waiting for you. Before moving forward, make sure each weapon is loaded.

You run into the Swarm again. You don't have much room to move around here so try to shoot as long as you can. When the Swarm charges, dodge.

Refill your ammo and then exit the door visible in the picture above.

Niels Laboratory

You reach the underground part of the location - it acts both as a prison and a laboratory. A collectible lies in the center of the room - Patient analysis AX-331-2.

A component is in one of the rooms. Access to it is protected by a cloud of poisonous gas. Use the shield, take the component and exit the room.

Tell Jack to open the door to the small operating room. Inside, you will find a component and a collectible - The ruler's directive No. 10345.

The further way leads through a monstrous "children's" room. Jump over the window in the further part of this location.

Another collectible item is on the desk - The patient analysis: RK-184-9. Move forward. Climb the ladder - you are in the laboratory. Keep moving forward until you get to the stairs leading down. You won't encounter any threat. Get down to the lower level.

The goal of your mission is really close. Go to the console and activate the artificial intelligence Niels.

Watch out, you are going to run. Use a protective shield to avoid taking damage from poison gas. Run forward and head towards the stairs.

The exit is at the top. Don't forget to use a protective shield. You are outside - shoot a few enemies. Keep moving forward.

The slide leads down. However, before using it, try to eliminate the opponents waiting at the bottom.

Activate the protective shield and run down the corridor on the right to complete the third act of the second chapter of Gears 5.
