Shotguns are an essential element of inventory of any player who lands in urbanized areas. Inarguably, this is the best weapon for eliminating opponents over very short distances (houses, rooms, etc.), but it is not as effective over short and medium distance. It is perfect for attacking enemy fortifications.

A single shot to the head is enough to kill the opponent and its rate of fire makes for decent firepower. The game features a few types of shotguns - tactical shotgun, pump-action shotgun, heavy shotgun, and double barrel shotgun. The first one has better rate of fire, but the latter has greater damage. Similarly to other weapons, shotguns are divided into classes:

1. Tactical shotgun - it has great rate of fire and it is divided into a few classes - white, green, and blue. It is great when assaulting enemy fortifications and when defending in rooms.
2. Pump-action shotgun - not as fast as tactical shotgun, but has greater damage. A single headshot will kill an enemy with full health. This makes it a very deadly weapon (although enemy with a shield will avoid being killed). Similarly to the previous shotgun, it is effective only in short distance. It is divided into two classes - green and blue.
3. Heavy shotgun - another type of shotgun. It features lower damage than pump-action shotgun (similar to tactical shotgun), but it has greater range. It will enable you to eliminate enemies from longer distance.
4. Double barrel shotgun - the strongest shotgun in the game. A single shot will deal 150 damage, even if you don't aim at the head. It is effective only on very short distance.

They use Shotgun Shells and they should make a part of any player's gear, who is exploring the map. It is exceptionally effective over short distance and it does not need precision, unlike other weapons.
