In Forever Skies, you can get sick from various diseases caused by viruses. Some will heal on their own over time, but every disease can be healed in a certain way. You don't get sick immediately after exposure to danger - the circle in the lower left corner, or rather how much it is filled, indicates how high your resistance is. However, even a full bar will not provide 100% resistance. Resistance is a component of other bars: energy, health, hunger and thirst.
