On this page of the Final Fantasy VII Remake Intermission guide you can view the location of Boomerang, a secondary weapon for Yuffie.
The boomerang can be acquired during the course of the first story mission (First Challenge) of the Intermission expansion, after reaching the Avalanche hideout.
After talking to Zhijie, descend to the cellar and open the chest marked in the screenshot above.
Boomerang has one additional Materia space compared to Yuffie's standard weapon (4-Point Shuriken) and offers a bonus to Magic Attack, but deals lower physical damage. Brumal Form, a special ability of Boomerang, fills ATB gauge after performing a successful dodge.
During combat, your team fills ATB (Active Time Battle) gauge, which enables them to cast spells and use powerful abilities.
