The best players in FIFA Ultimate Team cost hundreds of thousands of coins. Earning them through matches alone would take an enormous amount of time. It is much easier to get this cash through trade, which is what this chapter is devoted to.

Sniping

Sniping is a simple method, which revolves around choosing a particular player and waiting for someone to auction him for a very low price. This method is most effective when dealing with players worth between 2.000 and 10.000 coins. It can also be applied to other cards, not only players, e.g. to Premier League managers, style cards, club cards or single-use cards. If you have more coins, you can also search for players from the Team of the Week.

If you choose a card that you want to make a profit on, search for it on the market and filter the offers by the Buy Now price to find the lowest possible one. Now, you have to refresh the list and wait, until someone will sell the player for an even lower amount. If you see a difference of a few hundred coins, buy the card immediately. Quick reactions are the key here, as you will rarely be the only person interested in buying this specific card. After the purchase, you auction the card for as much as the lowest Buy Now price on the market.

The most difficult part of this technique is choosing the right card. If it is too popular, too many players will be trying to purchase it and you will have major difficulty in getting a card below the standard price. Then again, if it is a very rare card, you will have to wait a long time for the appropriate auction and waste a lot of time. Your chances of success depend on the platform you are playing on and the time of day, the fewer players, the better.

This method will allow you to gain a lot of profit on individual cards, but you will be dealing with a relatively low number of cards compared to the other methods. It requires a lot of patience, but may prove to be unsuccessful for many players.

One, Two, Three

This particular method revolves around bidding on a large number of cards and selling them for a marginal profit on individual cards. Set the filters to a minimal price of 1.000, maximal price of 2.000 and minimal Buy Now price to 3.000.

Now you are simply trying to get players for a few hundred coins less than the lowest listing on the market. At the beginning you will need to check the prices of specific players, but after a while you will know the cost of each of them. After the purchase auction the player for a Buy Now price that will grant you a profit in a short amount of time.

The listed filters are merely an example. You may set them to 2.000, 4.000, 5.000 or any other value. However, it is wise to stick to the same price ranges, as you will get used to the section of market you choose, and your knowledge and experience will allow you to complete transactions faster.

This technique does not offer significant gains on individual cards, but is relatively quick. In just a few minutes you can place several bids and auction the cards you bought for a higher price. In an hour you log in and do the exact same thing. This is a very easy and safe method, which will rarely bring any losses.

The bronze pack method

The bronze pack method should be applied when your overall balance is extremely low. Buy a bronze pack for 400 coins and try to sell as much as you can from its contents. If you will manage to sell two cards, even for 200 coins, the rest will already yield you a small profit. The team fitness cards are the most valuable. Sometimes you will also get a very good, bronze player, who will be worth over 1.000 coins. This method is not the most effective, but requires no real skills and carries relatively low risk.

Squad building challenges

The squad building challenges can be profitable, even if you do not build any squads. The challenges increase the demand for certain players. If all eleven players of a club need to be changed, than all of the prices will rise. If you get information about a new challenge, which requires players form a certain club, make sure you buy as many of those cards as possible. Speed is of the essence here, as after the new challenge is published, the prices will very quickly rise, turning what might have been profit into a loss.

This is not the only way to earn coins. There are also challenges which require a hybrid of different leagues or nationalities. Players from popular nations (Brazil, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Argentina), or from exotic leagues may become very valuable. It is easiest to find these players by typing in the name of the challenge into the search engine. The first few results are usually squads created by users. Search for subsequent players and buy those listed for less than 800 coins. Then auction them again for 1.500-2.000 coins. Even if there are several cheaper offers on the market, sooner or later, there will come a moment when your auction will be the cheapest one and someone will buy your card. Place your cards on the market for either 12 or 24 hours.

Setting prices

Setting prices is a method you can use when dealing with less popular cards. They are usually silver, or, if you have a bigger budget, special cards. The technique revolves around buying all of the cards up to a certain price point and then listing all of them for a higher price. It is important that you do not buy too many cards, as the more you buy, the greater the risk.

It is best if there are 3-4 cards, with a price range of 500-1000 coins, if you are considering a silver card. Buy them all and auction them again in such a way that they all provide 500 coins worth of profit. Make all of the prices differ from one another, otherwise someone may figure out that the price has been deliberately set higher.

Trading special cards is very similar. Remember to choose those cards that are not available in packs.
