In FIFA 20 Ultimate Team, the Player can take part in various game modes. Some of them allow the player to play matches against AI-controlled opponents, while others offer challenging online games of the weekly Division Rivals league. This Chapter describes all game modes available in FUT 20.
Division Rivals
Division Rivals is a mode that was first introduced in FIFA 19. In Division Rivals Players battle each other in weekly league matches that have their own set of rules. After the end of a season, Players receive appropriate rewards depending on the results achieved.
Rules
Division Rivals league lasts 7 days and during this time Players can play matches online with opponents of similar abilities. After playing 5 qualifying matches, the player is assigned to the corresponding league. From now on you have to earn points to fight for promotion to a higher division. Each match played in Division Rivals mode is rewarded with a corresponding number of points, dependant on the result achieved. You get more points for winning the match, but a draw is also rewarded. Higher leagues mean more difficult gameplay, so the player will be facing more and more difficult challenges. It should also be noted that matches in Division Rivals mode allow the player to amass FUT Champions points which enable you to enter the prestigious, weekend league of the same name.
Division Rivals Rewards
After each season, that is, after 7 days, the player receives corresponding rewards, which depend on the current league as well as the final rank. Even if you are a beginner and have stuck in 10 League, you have chances to earn really decent prizes which will help you to develop your FUT account and strengthen your squad.
FUT Champions
FUT Champions is a prestigious and very challenging weekend league that can be accessed after getting enough points. Points are earned by playing matches in the Division Rivals mode. The higher the league, the more points you score, but getting the points you need won't be easy. The entrance ticket to FUT Champions costs up to 2000 points.
Squad Building Challenges
Squad Building Challenges is a very popular mode in FIFA 20 Ultimate Team. SBC is a kind of football puzzle that must be solved in order to get certain rewards. To complete a squad building challenge, you most likely have to fulfill certain conditions that involve the right amount of chemistry, overall score, type of cards, league, club, etc. It should be mentioned that after creating a squad and accepting the exchange, all players that are a part of the squad are irreversibly removed from your club for a certain reward. Squad Building Challenges are fun, but also serve as an opportunity to earn some coins and get extra packs. It should be noted, however, that due to some requirements, the transfer market may completely go crazy, with weak cards being so expensive only because they match with many squads. Creating squads
Always start with finding cheap players who meet the requirements of the task. Don't buy them right away, just add them to the concept squad or a team wizard on websites like futhead or futwiz. The process of creating the right squad, requires a lot of patience due to the long and tedious search for certain players. Be sure to check out your club's resources first-you'll usually find a few permanent players you can use.
The fastest method of constructing a squad
The fastest and often most effective method of creating a suitable squad for a given task is to search for a ready-made solution on the Internet. Just enter the English name of the specific task, and choose the right solution. Before copying the squad, always make sure that it agrees with the guidelines in the task and check the comments - maybe someone gave an even better solution. Sometimes it may turn out that a player is not in the market at a reasonable price, so you will need to look for alternatives. First of all, look for a player from each league/nationality who will give the same teamwork. In some situations, you will have to replace even a few players.
Players' loyalty bonus
The loyalty bonus is given to players found in packs. Thanks to this bonus, the player is able to get the full chemistry which is 10 points. Players acquired in the transfer market can have a maximum of 9 points, 10 if they play at least 10 matches as a part of your club.
Team of the Week
The team of the Week is made up of players who have distinguished themselves with something special during the matches on sports grounds around the world, for example scored a large number of goals. The Team of the Week is chosen every Wednesday by EA Sports developers. All players who are a part of the Team of the Week receive special cards that can be found in packs.
Challenge the Team of the Week
Playing a match against the Team of the Week is a quick way to earn some coins - especially at low difficulty levels. If you decide to play at a high difficulty level, be prepared for a difficult and exhausting match, because the players from the Team of the Week have increased statistics. If you have a weak team, especially early in your career in FUT 20, choose a difficulty level that will allow you to score an easy and quick win.
"In Form" Cards
The cards of the players who were selected for the Team of the Week get different dark graphics and increased stats, making them much better players than their golden counterparts. Due to increased stats, In Form cards can reach very high prices in the transfer market - particularly if they are used to perform Squad Building Challenges.
How to get an "In Form" card
Every Player has a chance to receive In Form cards by opening packs. After 7 days, the Team of the Week changes, and the players' In Form cards are no longer available in packages, but you can still bid on them at the transfer market.
Squad Battles
Squad Battle is another popular single-player mode in FUT 20, where you can get interesting rewards: extra packs and coins. The player plays matches against teams created by the FIFA community. Below you can find the rules of the Squad Battle and the rewards that can be won.
Rules
In Squad Battle mode, the Player's task is to hold matches against a computer opponent who leads teams created by the entire FIFA community. For the matches played, the Player receives a certain number of points depending on the level of difficulty and the results achieved. Keep in mind that you can get extra points for spectacular tricks and goals. It should be noted that a player can lose several points for fouls, cards or lost goals. In Squad Battle mode, you can play up to 4 matches a day, then you need to wait for the squads to update.
Rewards
Depending on what rank You managed to score during the week, you will receive the appropriate rewards. The rewards are worth the hassle, as the prizes include packs with interchangeable players that can be put on the transfer market. Moreover, you can win special packs and large sums of coins.
Draft
Draft is a unique mode in FIFA, where you need to demonstrate the skills of the coach and choose a squad from a pack of random cards that will win 4 meetings in a row. Rewards in Draft mode depend on the number of wins, so it's always worth fighting for the best result.
Draft mode rules
Draft can be played online and offline (with an AI-controlled opponent). To participate in the draft mode, you need a special token or contribute 15,000 coins / 300 FIFA Points. After paying the necessary amount, the Player goes to the team selection. For each available position, you can select one of 5 suggested players. Once a team is accepted, the player enters a tournament, where one loss means losing the whole thing.
Team building
The first step is to choose the formation and then you can move on to choosing the appropriate players. In the process of selecting players, special attention should be paid to the team's chemistry, and not only to the overall score of the recruited players. Remember that very good team chemistry is reflected in the style of play and skills of individual players. After selecting all the players, try to move and arrange the players in such a way as to maximize chemistry.
Rewards
Depending on the number of wins, the Player can get certain rewards. Of course, the greatest profit comes from winning 4 times in a row, but even if you fail and lose the first match, you can count on small compensation. The reward you receive is selected from a specific pool of available rewards assigned to a specific number of wins. For example:
- Defeat in the first match means receiving ordinary silver or gold packs.
- For 1 win you have a chance of receiving gold packs and big gold packs.
- 2 wins can result in premium packs.
- 3 wins - a few premium or better quality packs.
- 4 wins give a chance of winning packs worth more than several tens of thousands of coins.
Rewards in Draft mode are awarded in a completely random way, so your initial investment of 7,500 coins is not always returned. Draft mode is actually a lottery and only the best Players who achieve a series of 4 wins have a chance to earn money here. As for the prizes for the game in single player mode (offline) they are, unfortunately, incomparably smaller, whereby earning larger amounts of coins borders on a miracle. However, if you have some FIFA points to distribute and you don't know what to spend them on, you can try your luck in the single-player draft. Remember that the level of difficulty does not affect the prizes, so there is no point to complicate your life - choose the lowest level of difficulty and quickly reach the end of the tournament.
