The basic question is: what is worth cultivating. The answer is not simple - a lot depends on the way you play, how much money you have and which machines you own. It is worth to cultivate various crops so you can sell them during events when their price increases extremely. Below you can find a table that shows you approximate values of the best prices (excluding events) for a given product and approximate number of harvests from one of the fields available in the beginning.

Remember that corn and sunflower requires special combine attachments. Sugar beet and potatoes require special combines that are used only for those vegetables. In addition to that potatoes also require a special planter machine. You get chaffs by cutting corn with forage harvester to which you must attach a tipper. Trees can be only cut manually, this task can't be assigned to your workers.
