Farming Simulator 22: DLCs FS 22 guide, tips

On this page of the Farming Simulator 22 guide, you'll read about how many and which DLC add-ons to expect for the game.

Last update: 14 October 2021

On this page, you will find information about the DLCs for Farming Simulator 22 - their content, known release dates, and their availability in Season Passes.

The developers of Farming Simulator 22 have announced already before the game's release that DLC content will be available. The first DLC, Precision Farming is currently planned for the first quarter of 2022. The DLC will focus on the broadly understood optimization of farming. The DLC is known from FS19, but in this release it is supposed to be slightly improved and affect the realism and improvement of changes in farming efficiency.

Additionally, a Season Pass will also be available at release, and it will grant access to further DLCs that will come out in the future. Free DLCs can also be expected every now and then, just like in the case of the previous installment in the series. The first Season Pass (year-long) will grant access to:

  1. Pack 1: Winter 2021/22
  2. Pack 2: Spring 2022
  3. Pack 3: Summer 2022
  4. Big DLC: End of 2022

The content of the first packs was not officially disclosed. However, we know from the announcement that one of the first DLCs will include Precision Farming known from FS19.

Precision Farming

The first DLC introduces many changes which slightly affect the complexity and realism of gameplay. There are many types of soil. To check the condition of the soil, you need to take samples and analyze them - you need to do it yourself with the right equipment. The quality of the soil will slightly affect the amount of harvest. Usually, one field will consist of more than one type of soil, with varied distribution. Sample analysis is not free.

The changes don't end here: each field has its of fertilization requirements (nitrogen condensation in the soil) and a pH level, which can be affected with lime - Farming Simulator 22: DLCs - Basics - Farming Simulator 22 Guide

The changes don't end here: each field has its of fertilization requirements (nitrogen condensation in the soil) and a pH level, which can be affected with lime. Due to the increased complexity and the many details that require attention, the DLC was not included in the base gameplay.
