Last update: 04 May 2020

In this chapter we will give you a general idea of what to look out for, where have other interesting trailers been hidden and which of them can be combined.

Pin coupling.

The trailers have two types of connections: either through the drawbar with a pin or through a ball coupling. What is the difference? The first type can be connected to almost any machine that has mounting options at the rear, such as harvesters, some loaders, etc. The second type can only be connected some vehicles: tractors or pickups.

Most machines are equipped with a pin coupling.

In addition, in many cases, pin coupled trailers have a space at the rear for connecting another trailer. Here's a list of universal trailers with pin hooks:

  1. SEK 802, HW 80, TDK and HDK trailers;
  2. Sugarcane trailers;
  3. Auger wagons.

Another type are the semi-trailers. You can connect them to trucks (truck tractors) or other vehicles, after using an "adapter" - the Krampe Dolly 10 L, which you will find in the store under the Dolly tab.

Multi-purpose trailers

Some trailers have specific applications.

Most of the trailers and semi-trailers in the Trailer category in the Store have a wide range of applications and can be used to transport everything from grains, seeds, fertilizers, pig feed and wood chips. However, some more expensive models are only used to transport certain goods: always look at the icons at the bottom of the screen, where you will find out what may be loaded on the trailer. As a rule, these specialized trailers have a much higher capacity, but a much lower price compared to universal models.

Trailers.

Trailers such as TKD/HKD 302, as well as HW and TDK can be combined. They are equipped with a pin coupling at the rear. Such a "train" can have an unlimited length.

Auger Wagons

Auger wagons.

Auger wagons can only work with grain, seeds and loose fertilizer. Everything you pour into them can be conveniently unloaded through a special pipe, just like in the case of harvesters.

  1. Some harvesters work well with auger wagons that they can pull behind and empty their grain tank into.
  2. Cheaper models of auger wagons are ideal as seed and fertiliser hoppers in locations far away from the store - you can quickly and easily unload their contents into seeders and planters.

Special trailers

Special trailers are used to transport specific goods. You will find them in different store categories.

Loading Wagons. - Farming Simulator 19: Trailers, semi-trailers - List of vehicles and machines - Farming Simulator 19 Guide and Tips
Loading Wagons.

Loading wagons can collect grass, hay and straw from the ground by themselves, but they can also be used as normal trailers. You can also easily load chopped straw and silage. You can also find several similar trailers (but without the loading function) in the Trailer category.

Sugarcane trailers. - Farming Simulator 19: Trailers, semi-trailers - List of vehicles and machines - Farming Simulator 19 Guide and Tips
Sugarcane trailers.

Many interesting trailers are hidden in the Sugarcane technology category. They are quite universal, as in addition to sugarcane, they can also transport hay, straw, grass, grass, silage, chopped straw and wood chips. In addition, smaller models, such as the Massey Ferguson MF 3012 and cheaper ones, have a pin hook at the rear - so they can be connected to each other.

Low loaders. - Farming Simulator 19: Trailers, semi-trailers - List of vehicles and machines - Farming Simulator 19 Guide and Tips
Low loaders.

It is worth having one of these trailers in your base. You can use it to transport heavy and slow equipment from the store, tractor headers or even pallets / bales.

  1. Everything you put on this trailer gains increased stability - don't be afraid to lose your load (although it is possible).
  2. The loader can be disconnected into two parts, so you'll ride on it with any vehicle, even if it's low on the ground.
