Last update: 04 May 2020

In Farming Simulator 19 you can choose from almost 300 different machines and tools that you can use. In the following chapters of our guide, we will focus on describing the most interesting and complex ones and advise you which of them achieve better results than others and which ones are worth acquiring (the price is not always a determinant!).

Remember, that you don't always have to buy a machines - you can rent in the leasing option by paying a daily fee for renting (1% of value) and using it (calculated in real time).

When buying tools it is worth paying attention to their four parameters:

  1. Required vehicle power - if you connect a machine that requires a tractor with a power output greater than yours, the device will run slower or will not work at all. However, this parameter is not always important, e.g. in the case of the machine for preparing feed for cows. Until you turn it on, it behaves like a normal trailer. And if you turn it on at the pen and use a weaker tractor, the machine will still do its job effectively.
  2. Area of operation - most often agricultural machines have a certain working width. It's normal, that a machine working at a width of 15m will do its work 50% faster than a machine with working width of 10m. However, this is not always the most important factor....
  3. Speed of operation - outside the area of operation, the width of the device, equally important in terms of efficiency is the speed of operation: the highest speed at which the device can work, if the tractor's power is sufficient (take into account, for example, the slope of the terrain, which may affect the speed of work and a bigger power consumption than suggested). However, never look at only one parameter: multiply the tool width by speed and compare both machines.

  1. Connecting - different machines have different types of connections. Many agricultural machines have a 3-point connection: if your tractor doesn't have one in the front, you'll be unable to connect, for example an additional seed tank. You can also look at trailers in the same way: those with bolt connection are the most universal: you can connect them together, connect them to a loader or a harvester.
