This chapter focuses on grains available in Farming Simulator 19. Here, you can find descriptions of: wheat, barley, oat, canola, soybean, corn and sunflower. Besides different selling prices and amount of crops from 1ha field, every grain has its use and special characteristics. They also require different machines for sowing and harvesting.

Wheat

Requires: cultivator, seeder, harvester with a header for grain - Farming Simulator 19: Grain - Crops - Farming Simulator 19 Guide and Tips

Requires: cultivator, seeder, harvester with a header for grain;

Usage: as food for: chicken and pigs, chaff for compost (after using a special harvester);

Special characteristics: leaves straw which can be collected - you can either sell it or use for animal bedding (pigs and cows). After that, the animals will produce manure.

Barley

Usage: as food for: pigs, chaff for compost (after using a special harvester);

Oat

Usage: as food for: pigs.

Special characteristics: you can collect sunflower with a header for corn. Sunflower can also be collected with a special header that allows you to collect it while driving 15km/h. This header can't be used for other crops.

Corn

Requires: (optional) plow, cultivator, planter, harvester with a header for corn;

Usage: as food for: pigs, chaff for compost (after using a special harvester);

Special characteristics: to harvest corn, you will need a special header and a planter. Your yields will be 15% smaller when your field isn't plowed before planting.
