Follow the tracks to find the animal.

Enter the cave and go deeper. Follow the traces of blood, investigating bodies on the way. Watch out for 3 enemies in the fourth zone. The map will show two points where you can go.

Set the traps to make the fight easier.

Regardless of the chosen path, you will finally reach the forest. Investigate the crime scenes, then go up and talk to the Wenja hunter. You can set traps on your way. You can do it a bit later, but it's really important, since it makes the whole fight easier. The hunter's surroundings include places where you can set traps, a fireplace and a cache (refill your resources). Sleep until dark and prepare the traps, if you haven't already.

Take the opportunity when Bloodfang is distracted by your animal.

Bloodfang will show up in a minute. Make an animal attack it and throw spears. Note that the beast will start following Takkar.

Make the tiger run into traps chasing Takkar.

Now is the time to lure the tiger into the traps and deal some damage. To do it, run near a trap and the beast should enter it. If you have a hard time defeating the tiger, summon more animals.

The trap will buy you some time to attack.

At one point, Bloodfang will run back to its cave. Follow the beast and be careful. Run around the cave and try to set both traps. They will immobilize the animal, giving you time to heal yourself or finish Bloodfang. When you manage to do it, tame it.
