This page contains our walkthrough for Through the Wringer, one of the missions in Far Cry: New Dawn. This mission has a few stages where you will have to complete a task within a time limit - saving hostages or disarming a bomb. Get Repair Tool perk and a sniper rifle before you start this mission - they will make this mission much easier to complete.
Upgrade Prosperity to unlock Through the Wringer mission. You need to get all the specialists and upgrade the base to the maximum level - this works in the same way as when you completed Upgrade Prosperity for the first time. You can get ethanol by capturing outposts. Check Specialist missions to learn how to get them.
Starting the mission
Speak with Kim Rye. You learn that Rush didn't return from recon. You receive a message - you learn where Rush is being kept. The location is marked automatically by the game. Follow the mission marker - you reach a place between a destroyed silo and a red building. The hostages are locked in the silo. Go to the red building and reach its eastern part (the one outside). There, you will find a switch - activate it to rescue the hostages.
Defusing the bomb
Your next objective is to disarm four bombs - you will find them in various places. You have 3 minutes to do that. One bomb is inside the pink building - enter it and defuse the bomb attached to the hostage.
The next bomb is near the garage - the entrance is blocked by a broken vehicle. This is where the Repair Tool perk comes in handy - repair the vehicle, drive it away and then enter inside the garage. Inside, you will find another hostage with a bomb.
The next bomb is inside the red building, the one where you have activated the switch. The card opening the nearby door is on the board - go inside and help another hostage.
The last bomb is in the orange container, the one between the blue and the pink one. Inside, you will find the last hostage with a bomb.
After disarming the four bombs, go to the basement in the red building. You need to interact with the switches with the right order. The solution to this puzzle is different every time you play this mission, but it is not difficult to figure out. All the lamps must glow green. Go outside.
Rescuing hostages
Your next objective is to rescue three hostages - you have a minute and a half. They are standing on top of tall constructions - their locations are marked by the game. Shoot the chains. Take out your sniper rifle and avoid shooting the hostages.
- One hostage is on the billboard in the eastern part of the location.
- The second hostage is near the destroyed silo.
- The last hostage is near the colored containers.
After that, follow the mission marker. Put your weapons into the bag before you enter the building. Watch the cut-scene. After that, Through the Wringer mission will end.
