This page of the guide to Far Cry 6 explains how to connect to the Ubisoft Connect service. You will also learn how to use the Ubisoft Rewards service and receive various rewards for completing challenges.
- Logging in to your Ubisoft account
- Opening Ubisoft Connect within the game
- Earning and collecting Ubisoft Rewards
Logging in to your Ubisoft account
Far Cry 6 , like many other Ubisoft productions, supports the Ubisoft Connect service, used to purchase a PC copy of the game, and most importantly to log into the Far Cry 6 servers (including the console versions). If you don't log in, you will have to play offline.
You can log in to your Ubisoft Connect account:
- From the game's main menu.
- By going to https://ubisoftconnect.com/
If this is your first Ubisoft game, you will have to create a new account. If, on the other hand, you have already played other Ubisoft productions on the same device that also supported Ubisoft Connect, you may be automatically logged in after starting the game.
Opening Ubisoft Connect within the game
You can open the Ubisoft Connect window from within the game. You need to go to the System tab in the pause menu and select the appropriate button from the list. It will open without turning off the game.
Earning and collecting Ubisoft Rewards
From the Rewards tab, you can select the rewards that interest you. They fall into three major groups:
- Rewards that have to be purchased with a special currency - Units (U). You can receive it by getting selected in-game achievements.
- Free rewards - you just need to assign them to the game.
- Rewards received on special terms - this could include owning a specific edition of a game or receiving a reward for watching a Twitch stream.
The rewards can be e.g. unique weapon skins (appearance change), sets of crafting materials, ride ornaments, Yaran pesos (the main currency) or themed sets related to cockfighting.
From the Challenges tab you can browse the available challenges which come in two varieties. Core challenges are fixed challenges that are available from the very beginning of the game. Time-Limited Challenges are otherwise known as limited availability challenges - if you want to pass them, you must complete them in time.
By completing challenges, in addition to gaining Units, you can also e.g. earn experience points, Moneda currency (which can be spent on black market goods at Lola's in the guerrilla hideouts) and spray cans.
Once you have purchased a paid reward or received a free one, you will also need to find it in the corresponding in-game menu - in the example above, the purchased Chorizo miniature will be found in the ride decoration menu on the dashboard.
