This page of the Far Cry 6 game guide contains the most important information about K-9000, the DLC Amigo/pet. We explain when the cybernetic dog can join the main character and list the unique features that set K-9000 apart from other pets.
Unlocking the cyber dog as a pet
K-9000 is a cybernetic dog from the game Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. Unfortunately, it's not available in the standard version of Far Cry 6.
In order to unlock K-9000, you need the Far Cry 6 season pass. It comes with the Gold and Ultimate editions of the game and can also be purchased separately for the standard version.
The cybernetic dog will be automatically unlocked along with other additional season pass content after completing the entire campaign introduction, i.e. operation The Guerrilla.
Traveling together with K-9000 the Amigo
K-9000 is a stealth Amigo and is far more durable compared to Chorizo or Boom Boom. The cybernetic dog has increased resistance to projectile damage and is immune to poison. This makes this pet ideal for attacking enemies and it is especially useful in locations containing poisonous red vapors.
K-9000's unique abilities are:
- Enhance - This challenge requires K-9000 to take 100 points of damage from enemies - send it to attack your opponents even when it's not safe to do so. This ability allows K-9000 to tag turrets, security cameras, traps, and alarms - all of which can help you in stealthily taking over enemy locations.
- Enhance!!! - The challenge requires K-9000 to tag 24 different security systems - allow it to survey hostile locations instead of using a smartphone right away. The ability allows K-9000 to deal more damage to enemies that have been previously tagged.
- Termination Protocol - This challenge requires K-9000 to defeat 50 tagged enemies. The ability allows K-9000 to initiate a massive explosion when it loses all of its health - intentionally send it out to attack groups of enemies so it can deal large amounts of damage by self-destructing.
