Last update: 10 April 2018

To defeat a Raveni, you will need a fully charged Killstrike bar. - Fighting Raveni and types of armors in Extinction - Basics - Extinction Game Guide
To defeat a Raveni, you will need a fully charged Killstrike bar.

Raveni is the main and the most powerful type of enemy in the game. A single strike of such a foe is enough to severely weaken or kill the character you're controling. You need to sever Raveni's head to kill the monster. This, however, can only be done when the level of Killstrike is at the maximum. In order to acquire it, you must save civilians, defeat basic enemies or defeat and sever Raveni's legs. Once the Killstrike is full, you need to climb up a Raveni and look for a small circle around its neck. You need to press the aim button and hover the crosshair over the neck of the foe. To make things easier and to avoid Raveni's attacks, you can cut off the monster's limbs once the armor is gone. You need to press and hold the button, wait for a short while until a ring appears around any of its limbs and release the button. Keep in mind that limbs will regrow after some time. A walkthrough of all of the items and their meanings:

Wooden Armor

The basic armor of the Raveni, one that can be destroyed with a single strike. You just need to aim and wait until it starts growing red.

Iron Armor

You need to attack the lock twice.

Destroying this armor requires more effort. On each element, aside from the shoulder pads, there are locks. To destroy them you must aim at them, wait until it is highlighted in red and then release the button. The operation must then be repeated, as locks need to be attacked twice. The locks on the legs and hands are located on the frontal armor. In order to destroy the helmet, you must climb up the back of the Raveni, jump above the monster's head and strike the lock, while being mid-air, located at the level of the opponent's eyes. This lock must also be attacked twice.

When your Killstrike bar is full, only a single strike is required to destroy the armor.

Gold Armor

Locks are located on the both sides of the armor of the leg. - Fighting Raveni and types of armors in Extinction - Basics - Extinction Game Guide
Locks are located on the both sides of the armor of the leg.

Here you also need to destroy locks. Unlike Iron Armor, however, one strike is enough to destroy those objects. The locks on the legs are located on the both sides of the armor, two on each side - once you destroy 4 of them, the armor will break. There are two locks located on the hands, placed on the inside of the forearm. The helmet is also equipped with two locks, one located on the neck and the other on the top of the head. Shoulder pads can be destroyed by simply hitting them with power attacks.

Armed Raveni

The unbreakable armor.

The only armor in the game that cannot be destroyed. It's located only on hands and legs of the Raveni, but on rare occasions all limbs can be equipped with it. If the armor is placed on the legs, you need to climb the enemy with the help of whip or by jumping towards the monster from the roof. However, by doing so you risk being hit while mid-air.

Skull Armor

The Skull Armor is an armor that can only be destroyed once Raveni performed a specific activity - Fighting Raveni and types of armors in Extinction - Basics - Extinction Game Guide

The Skull Armor is an armor that can only be destroyed once Raveni performed a specific activity. Note that there are flames coming from the skulls located on the armor. If you want to destroy them, the flames must disappear. In order to do that, you must move around Raveni's legs to force the enemy to make a stomp. This will cause the flames to disappear, allowing you to strike and destroy skulls. Once you are on top of the foe, wait for him to strike his own neck with his paw and destroy his armor.

Thorns Armor

You need to locate a wooden plate. - Fighting Raveni and types of armors in Extinction - Basics - Extinction Game Guide
You need to locate a wooden plate.

This is an armor wrapped in thorns. You must be careful when dealing with it, as any contact with the armor will cause damage to the character. You must locate a wooden plate and strike it twice to destroy the armor. The armor on the neck also needs to be attacked twice.

Spike Armor

When the outer layer of armor is destroyed, you will gain access to the vulnerable plate. - Fighting Raveni and types of armors in Extinction - Basics - Extinction Game Guide
When the outer layer of armor is destroyed, you will gain access to the vulnerable plate.

Without a doubt the most difficult armor to destroy. To get to the vulnerable part of the armor on the leg, you must force Raveni to stomp several times. Once done, a part of the outer armor will fall off, giving you access to a vulnerable plate that can be destroyed. In the case of the helmet, Raveni must hit his own neck with his paw several times so that the spikes fall off from the armor. Fighting this colossus requires patience and concentration.
