Here you will find a set of starting tips for EVE Online. We have prepared various tips and tricks that are primarily for novice players.
Tutorial
After creating a new hero in EVE Online, take some time to complete the extensive tutorial which will teach you the basics of gameplay. Completing a few simple missions will grant you additional rewards.
Agencies
Agencies offer players additional activities (missions) in New Eden. The Agent determines the objectives of the mission and the reward for completing it, for example, you may be ordered to extract a certain amount of ore, deliver selected goods, or hunt for pirates.
Mining
For a novice player, mining can turn out to be one of the more stable sources of income. What's more, this is a relatively safe occupation and does not require advanced skills.
Corporations
In EVE Online, there are many corporations that are controlled by players, offering numerous benefits in exchange for loyalty. These organizations are similar to guilds and clans that you might know from other MMO games.
Never hesitate to leave a corporation if you don't feel comfortable in it. Find a community where you will feel at home.
Professions
In EVE Online, you can develop the character in many directions. Think carefully about the path that your character should follow. You don't have to specialize in just one field. For example, your character can perfectly master combat, but also know how to process resources and trade.
Development
EVE Online is an extremely extensive game. You should focus on a slow but gradual development, especially when you are just starting your adventure in New Eden. At the start, you should not worry about the battles of alliances and major corporations - the time for that will come later. First, you will have to get settled into New Eden, learn the basics of gameplay and mechanics, master your ship, and develop your character.
Career Agents
After completing the tutorial in EVE Online, you will have the opportunity to talk to career agents who can assign you different missions and familiarize you with certain types of gameplay. Doing the missions will give you rewards (ISK, items, skill books), so we encourage you to go through all possible career paths.
Ups and downs
EVE Online is a demanding game. You will have to spend a lot of time discovering its true beauty and the huge opportunities that it has to offer. The ability to recover from a loss, the loss of a ship and possessions, and figuring out how to do better next time will all be crucial as you play. Instead of wringing your hands, try to turn every failure into an experience from which you can learn.
PLEX
New EVE Online players may be tempted to exchange the extremely valuable PLEX currency (which can be bought with real money) for ISK (InterStellar Kredit), which is the main currency in the game. Do not do this, it is completely unprofitable at the beginning of the game.
