You are at the gate - go towards the yellow building and enter. At the entrance, inspect the gate that is missing the hatchet. Direct the word Hatchet? onto the wall opposite the cabinet and you will get a clue. Climb the stairs and enter through the smashed door, into the next room.

In this room, there is the hatchet (collect it) and a corpse of a man. Take a look at the tipped stand for stationery, on the desk. Direct the scattered question marks at the window and you will see the answer - the missing tool are the scissors.

Exit the building and approach the high rock that you can see opposite the stairs. There is an elevator shaft there and a large spool inside, with the scissors on it. Collect it and, along your path, put the hatchet into the cabinet (fix). Return to the corpse. Place the scissors on the desk and touch the corpse. This is another mysterious death that you need to investigate.

The first two fragments of the past are in the room, right next to the corpse. To find more, you need to leave. Follow the path towards the mine exit - all 5 visions should now be clearly visible. The chronology is, in this case, very simple to figure out and it follows the path that the characters had to take.
